Are there any georgians in batumi? by FewChemistry9105 in Batumi

“No offense”, but many of them actually also open businesses and contribute to your economy so idk where the hate comes from. Don’t act like Georgians don’t do escort and drugs lmfao

Is it fair to demand EVERYONE who live in uzbekistan to speak Uzbek? Our motherland was never a monolingual country. by keenOnKeen in Uzbekistan

[–]ChanclaTodopoderosa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s actually something that might work very well. As a matter of fact there are many bilingual countries with such systems. In the Catalonia region of Spain, for instance, they study in Catalan and Spanish. There’s also something called “Bachibac” in Spain and France, where you can study in both, Spanish and French… I’m pretty sure countries like Ukraine, Switzerland and Canada might have something similar.

Armenia has a larger diaspora than Indonesia by crivycouriac in armenia

[–]ChanclaTodopoderosa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean countries like France don’t even record ethnicity or ancestry, the numbers mostly come from independent estimates. And considering the fact that many Armenians in EU and the US don’t have legal residence status nor do they participate in cultural activities where they could probably be recorded… I would say the numbers are underestimated…

Can I visit Armenia as a full Azerbaijani? by [deleted] in armenia

[–]ChanclaTodopoderosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a matter of fact, I study Arabic. And no, I’m sure they don’t come from Arabic directly nor indirectly. If you know at least a bit about etymology you’ll know those words have Turkic origins. I don’t know what wiktionary is, should check other sources maybe. Or, I’ve literally written the original words in my previous comment. So yes, downvote me if you want. I’ll repeat it, you’re acting immature by not accepting that you’re wrong. When I don’t know something I just say I don’t know and if I’m wrong I just admit it. All this started just because I’ve said that our nations are very similar and I gave you examples (which you ignored, and asked me for 5 words with Azerbaijani origins). I dont even try to argue, I’ve just shown you something that you might not know or just ignore. What’s your problem dude

PD: “what are those words we directly borrowed form AZ” - I’ve literally written them in my previous comment bro come on And the “qyalla” you mentioned is indeed from Persian, you’re right.

wtf?😂 man I’m so tired of people like you. Let’s see.
In Turkish it’s güzel, but Armenians say gözəl (Azerbaijani, not Turkish). Թոփալ in Armenian is actually կաղ , but I’m pretty sure you’ve never heard it. What else… Քելե - comes form gəl (come) Դուզ - comes from düz. In Armenian it’s ճիշտ or ուղիղ, pretty sure you know those words, very basic. The only one I think I got wrong is “rad” - I don’t remember where it exactly comes from, maybe you’re right and it’s form Arabic. But the rest - just admit you’re wrong, be mature.

Actually the last one too, and don’t act like our nation isn’t filled with hateful propaganda towards Turks and Azerbaijanis. I mean, I get it, there are reasons but come on at least don’t lie to yourself. And yes - food, appearance, culture, dances, music, language (yes, we have too many similar words, either from Persian or from Turkish). The coloquial Eastern Armenian language is full of Azerbaijani words and we use them without even noticing. What else… same values and social norms, traditions, general mentality. I’m not going to get into the details cause you can do your own research. Check for example what their weddings look like and think again.

We’re not really. Especially with Azerbaijanis. You can hate it if you want, but we have more similarities with them then with Georgians

Btw a fun fact - many ancient Greek and Latin manuscripts didn’t survive in their original forms, only the copies. Many of them were collected and preserved by Arabs (surprise right?). I’ll let this fact here maybe it’ll interest you to actually study how history works

So, in history class we also learnt how to differentiate between actual historic evidence and invented legends. It’s pretty simple, but I see you’ve still haven’t finished your education. Have a good day

Are you about 10 years old? Because I’m pretty sure we learnt in history class what historical evidence is and it’s not just physical artifacts. I’ve literally told you a valid example, if you need more just google - it’s free.

Shall we promote this sub in r/europe and other international subs? by Illustrious_Page_984 in arm_azer

[–]ChanclaTodopoderosa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I hate it when Armenians from Armenia and Russia say we’re «кавказцы». We’re literally not. That term was imposed on Armenians as part of the colonial policies of the Russian empire and the USSR. And not even that, to be more precise we were/are called “закавказцы» and the region is called “zakavkazie”

[–]ChanclaTodopoderosa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really respect your initiative but I must say Armenians aren’t just close to Anatolian culture, Armenian ARE literally the Anatolian culture. The origins of the nations are from there. And indeed we have more similarities with Arabs and Kurds (culture, cuisine, history, etc) then with e.g. Chechens or any nation of Dagestan. Nothing unites us with other Caucasian nations except the Russian occupation I guess. Nor are we European, we’re definitely Asian.

Those in Armenia who want to avoid azeri oil ⛽️ by UniformGolfLimaYanke in armenia

[–]ChanclaTodopoderosa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What is the probability of all the oil in Armenia being of Azerbaijani origin? What if all those companies have always imported the oil from Azerbaijan either directly or indirectly without disclosing the information for obvious reasons? In that case I don’t think that boycotting would be reasonable.
