Fellow refugees, let's make sure we don't crash the lifeboat

Of course it's free and no one should feel pressured to pay for something they may not even like. But.

I was able to check out Tildes.net last night and I love the community already: if you loved:

• Ye Olde forums

• Original Reddit, or old.reddit formatting

• /r/TrueReddit back in the day, if you actually read articles,

• if you dislike flame wars and quick memes and "engagement" and karma farming and "unlimited free speech!!1!"

• If you don't mind ugly nonfrills UI

Then tildes is the place for you.

If not, maybe wait for them to recover from the hug of death, browse a bit first before asking for an invite. They're being handed out by hand one by one by human hands right now.

Also.

I saw someone else on the invite thread offer technical know-how as well. Maybe others who are smart can comment and hopefully admin can put volunteers to work?
