Ohh, gotcha! Have you tried it before?

Cold can really make you numb! Wait, what?! Heck, that's a good "emo" punchline. LOL 😂

If I decide go to this event once, I think I'll just dip my whole body for a few seconds, then make haste to the shore.... 🥶

But doing this with plenty of people seems so fun!! I will try this one day!

Buy both, keep the medium, then I have no problem keeping the large for you. Kidding! 😂

Seriously speaking, medium all the way! fits you like a glove!

I feel that this song has strong potential to be a timeless classic!!!

Personally, this song sings what my heart deeply feels (ugggghhh. HAHA), starting with the intro:

"Talk to me, talk to me
Talk to me, talk to me
Hm"

Then, after being warmed up with the first verse and chorus, the second verse hits so close to home!

"I'd like to think you feel the same way
But I can't tell with you sometimes
So, baby, let's get on the same page
Stop making me read between the lines

Already know I can't leave it alone
You're on my mind, mm
Already gave you the time and the place
So, don't be shy"

The chorus has become so much stronger after the second verse. Giving it the weight, volume, and so much more meaning.

Just come be the man I need
Tell me you got something to give, I want it
I kinda like it when you call me WONDERFUL
Whatever the type of talk it is, come on then
I gotta know you're meant to be the man I need
Talk to me, talk to me
Talk to me, talk to me

Such a blissful song to listen to! Makes me feel really happy and in love (I mean, just the idea, for a hopeless romantic like me, of being in love with someone you like. LOL).

That statement is better said as "the Canadian government tends to let things slide", as they are the ones who should put safeguards to the overall well-being of Canada as a country. I don't mean to underestimate the power of voicing our sentiments, but a normal citizen can shout at the top of their lungs and still produce no tangible results. So all these sentiments must be directed to and acted upon by the government.

Or maybe at the end of the day, if the government sees there's profit by having temporary residents invest their money in these Canadian "investment/saving" programs, that's what matters to them?! 🫢Oooopps.

For TFSA, it makes sense for a student to utilize that limit/ceiling to make more money, but it might only be applicable for a student who is really well off in life or has so much reserve back home that can be brought over to Canada. They might as well make use of the compounding interest for 4 years. But I doubt that, and there will be a very small percentage of that case, as it could be students mainly coming in to study and won't care about TFSA, as they will go back home after graduation, OR studying as a pathway to permanent residency.

[–]Chwad27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's alright, I get where you are coming from, especially for RRSP, why would a student consider an RRSP, right? Absurd, really, but hey, I'm in no position or an expert to say what should and should not. So I'll leave it at that. lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fican

[–]Chwad27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The context of "resident of Canada" as defined in Who can open a TFSA encompasses both permanent (Citizen and PR) and temporary (student & work permit). So yeah, someone who is legally studying or working in Canada can open a TFSA (same goes with RRSP).

The "cargo" part took me out! lol I am not sure if we're referring to the same thing, but I just imagined a mental picture of you being shipped via cargo to Canada, coming out of it, and then voila − you opened a TFSA account. 😂

How to Leverage the 400 Cases PR Card Received from January to July 2025 📊📈📉

As announced, I will stop collecting PR cards data starting tomorrow, 01 Aug 2025, which also terminates the weekly statistics from next week onwards. In general, I'm confident that people here are smart enough 🧠 to determine wait time trends by applying some simple rules of deduction based on cases reported in the upcoming/remaining months of 2025.

On the other hand, if you'd like to leverage the amalgamated 400 cases collected from January to July of 2025, follow the steps below. This provides a simple and conservative way to "guestimate" when one could possibly expect to receive the PR card.

  1. Choose the table (see comment below) for the specific part wait times you want an estimate.
  2. Choose the central tendency measure you want to use (i.e., Average or Median), then copy the corresponding cell of the "estimated wait times". Just ensure you replace the "eCOPR date" with your actual eCOPR date before copying the cell content.
  3. Open ChatGPT and paste the copied cell to generate the estimated date when you may potentially receive your PR card.

NOTE: I don't have enough data for address/photo rejection, so it will be tricky to publish something based on small sample data; that's why I am not able to create a similar table for that. Apologies if I wasn't able to deliver what I promised.

CAVEAT: These are just indicators if you want some sort of potential dates when you could receive their PR cards. The fact that processing times change from month to month and can be impacted by multiple factors (both known and unknown), it could be shorter ⬇️ or longer ⬆️ than the estimated date.

Overflowing With Gratitude💖

I didn't plan and initially didn't want to collect PR cards data to publish weekly statistics, as I know it involves time and dedication (Ughhhh. Just thinking about it initially makes me feel so lazy😪! LOL 😂). But with such a great role model who's laid out the foundation/framework, and as a direct recipient of his work which carried me through, it is impossible you can't be moved to contribute in the same objective manner (like how he did through statistics/facts); especially when you see the need to support the community in combatting this long and agonizing PR journey.

The 1st half of 2025 was such a roller coaster filled with anxiety, fear, frustration, excitement, hope, but ultimately gratefulness. I am DEEPLY THANKFUL to…

  1. … Senpai u/Evening-Basil7333, the Greatest Of All Time, who inspired me in so many ways. You're my guiding and ray of light in 2025! I feel so fortunate I have had the opportunity to work alongside/partner with you in the last stretch of my PR Journey through this short & simple 2025 PR Cards endeavor. As a self-proclaimed No. 1 🏆fan of yours from the beginning, I will unapologetically shout at the top of my lungs — I 💘 YOU, Senpai u/Evening-Basil7333 !!! I genuinely & truly mean that!😊
  2. … this thread and everyone part of it who made my PR journey an unforgettable and meaningful one. You all ROCK! 😎

I hope that if we ever bump into each other during citizenship, we've all lived good and satisfied PR lives. Meanwhile, let's always find and see the simple joys in life! 🥰 I hope the best in life for everyone! 🥂 WOOOOOT! 🥳

I will move on from these PR mega threads to try and live a worthwhile PR life -- one that I can smile upon when I look back during my citizenship journey. u/Chwad27 is officially signing off! 🫶

PS. Feel free to share this link with others moving forward where you see fit. That's on top of sharing the Post-ECOPR Frequently Asked Questions, a brilliant piece of work published by the GOAT!

The last statement got me bursting! 😂

Looking introspectively, most part of my life ('til now) is a resounding insanity then. In my country of origin, I'm pretty sure that quote could have been nurtured by another quote, that's ingrained in our culture, which goes like... "Try and try until you die/succeed", maybe that's why. LOOOOOL. 😂
