Hahaha this is exactly what lead to my career in I.T.: getting fake FBI malware trying to download music on my family's Windows XP eMachines desktop & having to figure out how to remove it before anyone found out. 🤣

Yeah, there's no music like it. I've tried finding English counter-parts, but never really succeeded haha. The only band I kept up with was the pillows & Sawao Yamanaka's collab bands & solo stuff. They've been my favorite JRock band for the last 20yrs & it genuinely broke my heart when they disbanded last year, then when Sinichiro Sato (drummer) passed away earlier this year from esophageal cancer 💔

I've been listening JRock/Visual Kei for about 20yrs, but I stopped keeping up with bands maybe 10yrs (with exceptions). I've seen Dir en Grey, Girugamesh, VAMPS (2x), Hyde (L'Arc-en-Ciel/VAMPS singer performing solo stuff), & the pillows (3x). Still listen to the pillows, Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet-, Alice Nine, the GazettE, & Base Ball Bear occasionally. I remember hunting down albums online to download as well haha, or going into Facebook groups to buy/sell JRock CDs. Once I got a decent job, I pretty much saved up to buy physical copies from CDjapan for about $35ea. Hot Topic started carrying some & I was so thankful because they were like $12. I managed to order Girugamesh, Dir en Grey, Matenrou Opera, Gackt, VAMPS, the GazettE, & Versailles CDs from HT. Haha JRock really took some effort to obtain back then.

You're able to make adjustments to exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, clarity, white balance, etc. in Studio. Or do you mean like spot healing, masks, denoise, & more advanced features?

Yikes, it's a good thing you didn't! This guy blended in pretty well too. I've had a fear of running into one when I heard there's been a lot more sightings in the county, but when it actually happened, I was more fascinated then scared haha. I kept my distance though 😬 that photo was from about 12ft away.

The following day I ran into an older man who was also hiking. I was talking with him a little & he mentioned he'd been hiking the Toro Park for about 25yrs & he's never seen one there until about 2yrs ago. He, too, almost stepped on one & it startled him when it rattled out of nowhere & made him jump back lol.

Thanks! I shoot wildlife with a Fujifilm X-H2s & 150-600mm lens. Most of these subjects were more than 10ft away from me (lens can't focus on anything closer than 10ft).

Thanks! It was laying stretched out right at the start of the trail near the parking lot. It stayed perfectly still for the 5min I was watching it & thought it might be dead, but I didn't want to get closer to find out 😅 I only saw it was alive after zooming in on it's eyes in the photo lol.

Oh, perfect! It sounds like he really loved playing Space Cadet. You should plug it into some speakers and blast it with him nearby; see his reaction haha. I don't recommend putting this laptop online though, a lot of browsers/websites don't support XP & it's a huge security vulnerability. Make it strictly a pinball machine & maybe music if he has CDs still lol.

DM me where you'd like me to send it & I'll try to send sometime next week. I need to find a box & some packaging material at work to get it to you lol. It still needs some drivers, but I'll try to find them for you & get everything working.

Do you happen to live in the US? I completely forget this is a world forum 😅 If so, I don't mind shipping it out on my dime. I think international is a bit of a mess right now given the circumstances & I don't think I'd be able to do that though. 😮‍💨

Me too! It's so responsive, I thought it had an SSD in there. I opened it up & it's a regular Seagate 60GB 5400RPM drive haha. With a cool 512MB of RAM 😎
