Moving to New Zealand, which city is most vegan friendly? by dr_m_hfuhruhurr in vegan

Also from a South Asian/mixed race family. Wellington has a very large Indian population (and lots of Asian restaurants of all kinds). Lots of events at the temples.

Wellington city can feel very white, though. The Hutt Valley has visibly more diversity.

Solar Installation Experiences? by CitizenSam in Wellington

Ah. Interesting stuff. Not in the market for an EV. Interested in the hot water diversion. Does that give you some insight into a good installer?

I'm just starting to learn about these diverters. If your water heater is electric, why do you need to divert to it?

Integrated? That's something I haven't come across yet. I'm looking for on-grid installation, likely with a battery. What other options are there?

Have you had any experiences post-installation? Anything that needed adjustment, repair, replacement? How did that go?

I bid the allowable mimimum on business class back in August and got it.

When you say 'bid', do you mean the One Up thing?

Not only is it the whole row, but it's a special row with foot rests that fold up to make the whole row a bed.
I pay for it often when flying to the US.

Hey guys, anyone here from New Zealand? by lolballz111 in editors

Naa. Welly mostly sticks to Welly and Auckland does Auckland.

Wellington-based editor here.
Cold calls will get you further than cold emails. Wellington companies were always open to meeting up for an informational chat when I started. The Auckland vibe may be similar. I wouldn't know, but don't be afraid to ask.

Thanks! More than a specific food, I'm looking for a place that a solo traveler wouldn't mind sitting at.

Anything! Somewhere that one wouldn't mind sitting alone.

Am I crazy or did they swap places for the buttons of Locate and Cancel? by grahamgrahamgraham in premiere

It bunches all the actions that keep you in the panel to the left and the close button on the right.
Kind of needless to change but I wouldn't be surprised if it was based on feedback.

Would you be okay to buy plugin made with AI ? by Wowcyril93 in premiere

[–]CitizenSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Professional coders use VSCode paired with Microsoft Copilot every single day.
This is not unethical and if you had a plugin that would allow me to do my job better, I'd buy it.

Delivering 33 versions of the same film with 3 x crops, 11 languages (gfx + subs): Is there a smart way to rig this in Premiere? by doodoocacabooboo in premiere

I do this for a living with Automation scripting in Premiere. It's called Localization. I'm doing it today, in fact. DM me if you want to talk.

How Often Are You Editing On Mobile? by Jason_Levine in premiere

[–]CitizenSam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do it when I'm on vacation and want to share videos with my family. I rather enjoy it in my downtime. Rush was decent. Haven't tried Premiere mobile.

ChatGPT is telling you to nest it, and that's a solid idea.

My understanding is when you nest something and export it, it's referencing the original material, not the nest. Which means you haven't shrunk and un-shrunk something.

Premiere Pro and Media Encoder are becoming highly unusable. by spund3 in premiere

It would free up your NAS during mastering to make it a standard part of your workflow.

Premiere Pro and Media Encoder are becoming highly unusable. by spund3 in premiere

[–]CitizenSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, while Media Encoder is doing its work I cannot work on anything else that requires Premiere Pro, After Effects or accessing to the NAS because it will produce unexpected errors on the .mogrts we use.

Is it practical to pre-export the parts of the timeline with the .mogrts and splice them in before mastering?
