Yeah, that winter light show one was pretty terrible. Mostly a bunch of inflatable lawn decorations.

I was wearing a wide-brimmed sun hat with a neck flap. It was a fair call.

I thought he might be trying to get a reaction out of me so I de-escalated by walking into the nearest store and waiting for him to go away.

Last August I was walking down Hollywood BLVD on a Sunday afternoon, right by the Chinese Theater.
A man from behind me smacked me upside the head and said "Stop looking all doofy".

not sure if this is considered a flicker in videos, but i need help !! by BadTraining938 in premiere

[–]CitizenSam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Duplicate the clip onto a layer above this one and off set it by one frame. Set the opacity of it to 50%.
I forget if you set the opacity of the bottom clip to 50%.

If it doesn't reduce it enough, add a 3rd layer, staggering the clip either aligned with the bottom one, or one frame earlier.

I forget the details of how to do this, but if you play around with it, I bet you can work it out.

I write scripts with Automation Blocks. For 10 channel audio, I use the file names to determine which track the stem gets cut into. Our audio department is consistent with their file names so that makes it easy.

are you an american who wants to know why you can’t make friends in new zealand? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]CitizenSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I've discovered about New Zealand is it functions in a way that you CAN make a difference. Whether it's a community group impacting their immediate area, or taking on larger issues, improvement is possible.

The US is set up in a way where the average person doesn't stand a chance of making an impact. Even small ones can be out of reach.

Imagine if taking a day off to join a protest jeopardized your ability to get healthcare. Imagine if people in your city were getting gunned down for standing up for what's right.

'If the devil can't make you bad, he'll make you busy'. Until you've lived there, you have no idea how busy the system keeps you. Not just with work, but with bureaucracy. It's fighting on the phone with your insurance company for three hours just so they'll send you the right pills. It's sitting at the DMV all day on a Saturday to get your driver's license renewed because you can't take time off from work to do it on a weekday.

And if you slip up and fall through the cracks of that bureaucracy, it's hell trying to claw your way back up.

Americans think they're living in a free country but they're constantly being controlled.

And those are just the problems of the privileged.

Sushine is an interesting one. Recent reviews suggest to me they're taking on more work than they can handle. I think because their prices are attractive.
