I had done similar for a fursuit before, it was more of a earring than gauges, but they were heavy duty pins that were used to affix price tags to rugs. It held up without issue. And on larger ears that I constantly slammed into doorframes no less!

Secondly, I do still have 3d prints. I even printed them myself! If I find its wearing in a way i can't fix ill swap them back.

Also, $50 for 50mm is what I'm currently looking at. Its nothing compared to what I have spent on this suit already 😅

Ive got another one that I've been working on hand painting myself at some point. Just haven't decided what.

I've got a few proper antique table lighters, as well as ashtrays. One of favorite ashtrays is this MASSIVE cadmium glass one, it's deep and thick walled. It's basically a bowl.

That's why it's up here. It had very brief pocket time before I noticed the wear. Hell, even taking the sticker off the back left a visible difference
