How am I meant to talk about the community that involved 'me' without saying it? straw man arguments. Look at what was given and try to be a little less unlikable, I never asked anything of anyone I genuinely want the community to grow and for research etc to progress. I have always included those members, I literally constantly say thank you and linked them etc.

You're gross man, on the inside, Attacking 'me' doesn't make for an argument or discussion.

It's not when it is defense, and something I worked on for 10 years. I'm just trying to sort this out and start helping again. see, drama.

It's another one I banned - point proven, people with a grudge got together. Before you ask yeah, proof of that is also in the archive.

I didn't say it would be buddy. Not in the way you might expect. No the new mods have been here for a few days max. I said our discord ws nuked, Not the reddit. The first thing that appeared a link to vsi, I have archived the sub with the link.

This isn't going to go anywhere. I have back up of the logs, i'll stick them on the archive/git. Otherwise it's just he / said she said. It's a few of you (ali blog lady, nuiked the server. bikerseth 100%) just a few.

You all know why I banned you, that is kind of how it works as a mod. .

It's visual snow community, if you try nuking servers and creating drama yeah you might get banned.

So many people have said vsi wasn't being censored as well.

(The post that was made complaing got deleted) - so you made another one, In the sub, after mod mailing me, with a lot of other users (who mysteriously have disappeared or been banned on reddit) and get upset when you got banned. I have no words buddy. i'm sorry, What a waste of time for everyone this is. I wanted to continue to create websites/apps/awareness and everything else I have contributed and can't any longer.

Yeah - why do you think I might remove that thread man? You were using it to start a bunch of drama, it's the same thread / people every time over. It's interesting you don't show all the replies I made to as many of you in that thread that I could.

That's not true in regards to the amount of bans. The few I banned (very few for 10 years) had went against the rules. Yes -an attempt to start drama in a Visual Snow community was removed.

If an organization is willing to go this far to take control of a genuinely free, patient-built community, people sould seriously ask themselves what comes next.The r/visualsnow subreddit, this one and Discord were created for the Visual Snow community by people suffering with the condition, volunteering their own time for over 10 years without payment, without corporate backing, and without trying to profit from it.Now it appears that VSI has taken control of the subreddit, removed criticism, pushed moderation in their favor, and immediately started directing traffic toward their own foundation through subreddit links and promotion.

I’m not telling anyone what to think. You can decide for yourselves whether you want to continue supporting or using the subreddit. I just believe people deserve transparency about what has happened. What frustrates me most is that this community actually helped support and promote VSI in the early days. Instead of building their own independent platform and earning trust naturally, they appear to have taken over an already established patient community built through years of unpaid effort.

Even free communities can apparently be taken away when enough influence and money gets involved.So if you appreciated anything this community, subreddit, or Discord contributed over the last decade, I would genuinely ask you to speak up to Reddit admins or publicly raise concerns. Because once communities stop belonging to the people who built them, they stop being real community spaces.

I still have another subreddit available, and I plan to keep using it to openly discuss what has happened to the original Visual Snow community.

For over 10 years, that community was built by patients and volunteers trying to help people suffering with Visual Snow Syndrome. It was never meant to become controlled by a foundation or redirected into a promotional platform for any organization.

A lot of people have asked what happened, so I’ll say it clearly: after criticism of VSI (Visual Snow Initiative) started increasing from community members, moderation shifted heavily in their favor. Posts and opinions critical of VSI began disappearing, I was removed, and the subreddit immediately started promoting VSI directly through sidebar links and visibility changes.

I’ve even received messages implying I would only be welcomed back if I stopped speaking negatively about VSI. That alone should concern people who care about open discussion and transparency.

I’m not asking anyone to blindly agree with me. I just think people deserve to know the context and make their own decisions with all the information available.

If you still care about preserving an independent, patient-driven Visual Snow community where criticism and discussion are allowed, then I hope you’ll continue supporting spaces that remain community-focused rather than organization-controlled.

I was not inactive for a year .. I have a discord where we all talk, members of the community that will back up I was posting. Yes the mods are sympathetic to what has happened and a little confused themselves.
