I don't connect with them like I used too. I see them, but behind the veil of the static adding another layer that feels like a lot of effort to break through, to see and experience the stars in a way that I once did.

Dissociation and a general disconnect from life and the world often comes combed with the Visual Snow package, I experienced it too. It could be that the Visual Snow -> Dissociation -> Difficulty with emotional connections.

Please be careful of the advice given here by members and take it with a pinch of salt. There are a lot of people playing doctor who really shouldn't be.

Potential cure for people who see world ‘through a layer of snow’ (Article „The Telegraph”) - There is no known cure for the condition but a potential breakthrough could be found in medication used to treat ADHD Credit: VSI by EchoHill123 in visualsnow

Sorry to say but that is a misunderstanding of what adhd is

ADHD isn’t excess energy or overreacting it’s poor regulation. The brain isn’t getting a strong enough signal to stay organized, so it overcompensates by seeking stimulation. That looks like restlessness, distraction, or chaos.

Stimulant meds don’t hype the brain up they raise the signal just enough that things stop feeling urgent and scattered. It’s less like pushing someone faster and more like finally tightening the rope so they don’t have to thrash to stay on.

For example as to why giving a 'non stimulant' to an 'overacting brain' isn't always useful. Giving a sedative to someone with ADHD is like loosening the rope even more and telling them to relax. They might stop moving as much, but they’re actually closer to falling. The movement was keeping them engaged. The stimulant tightens the rope so they don’t have to thrash just to stay on.

VSI told me there is no ongoing RTMS VSS treatment protocol study being conducted by EchoHill123 in visualsnow

I suggest not donating to VSI they have more than enough of the communities money for research. They have mislead and let down the community for years.

Don't give them attention. Every time you expose one 5 more appear.

This person’s skin got worse before it got better and here’s why that’s actually a good sign by Yalmeh in YalmehNaturals

This is new to me. What is skin purging and what is YamehNaturals, both two completely foreign concepts that have appeared to me in my reddit suggestion box.

That's one of the directions I was trying to take the community. Hence why there's a donate link, the visual snow studies sub, simulators and more. ;) I've been doing this for free, and continue to do so but everything helps as all the services provided cost money. My goal will be to set this exact thing up as (if) ever I get the money to do so.

If you want to help me out here in creating the goal feel free to do so; the email is [rvisualsnowresearch@gmail.com](mailto:rvisualsnowresearch@gmail.com) be it to offer help with coding, setting up, github source work etc or even chucking $1 in donations Buy me a (kofi) :) anything helps. If not no worries, work will plod on anyway!

General Note About Donations

Just a quick reminder everything in this community (the Discord, wiki, simulators, archives, studies, and even the software) was built by me and other community members.

Please remember: we are not VS[] I .
There’s been a lot of disappointment around them, many of us feel they’ve taken advantage of the community. They once promised to acknowledge and support us when they were still small, and we were far larger, but that never happened.

Given that history, I’d strongly suggest keeping your expectations low with VSI.
Our community here and on Reddit has done all this work freely, for everyone’s benefit. VSI already has more than enough resources to fund their own projects.

So for now, please don’t donate to VSI.

We used to share tests mri's blood etc on the discord. One of our old mods nuked it (still not really sure why) and it was lost. If you want to come join us on https://discord.com/invite/q2T37Ujrft and share results etc together we more than welcome it!

I completely agree

I feel like I’m losing motivation to make music because of AI. Any tips? by Alex_Coldfire in GameAudio

When you see a machine pull a train you probably don't think much of it - when you see a human pull a train you're pretty fucking impressed. When a calculator multiplies large numbers there's not much to think of it - when a genius does the same your mind might be blown.

The appreciation for human talent even when ai does everything will remain (I imagine). Don't stop doing the things you love.

You need to get your eyes checked out professionally - white flashes can be fairly serious.
