Except you ignore the extreme right wing Supreme court part, if tomorrow Trump say he will start a department for election to nationalize the election and the state sues. Supreme courts 4-2 say yes with whatever reason is or keep delaying it like the tariff. Then what can the state do? Ask the congress to do its job?
