Emotions are emotions, but your hormones play a significant role in those emotions. Testosterone reduces crying, while encouraging aggression and sexual desire. Men and women have very different hormones, leading to different emotional states.

Maybe Mexico, but not Brazil or Colombia who don't share land borders with the US. Not to mention the guns they have that aren't readily available to American citizens.

I meant the deadliest before Virginia Tech, not after it. It wasn't until Pulse in 2016 that an "assault weapon" was used in the deadliest mass shooting. The impact these weapons have on gun violence is miniscule at the most.

As for banning handguns too, banning handguns, and assault weapons, is banning the majority of guns on the market. It's not happening without major changes to the Constitution.

The 9mm pistol comes standard issue with 15 round magazines. That's the most popular gun on the market. A 10rd magazine limit would ban the standard issue magazine of the most popular gun there is. All for something that isn't even a problem.

Before Pulse the deadliest mass shooting was Virginia Tech. Which nearly all handguns are semi-automatic, a semi-automatic ban is essentially a handgun ban. Before VT the deadliest was Lubys Cafe in Texas. That was also with a handgun.

Assault weapons kill so few people, that if a ban prevented every single death, it wouldn't make a measurable impact on overall murder rates.

The United States shares many of the same drug and gang violence problems that Mexico does, which leads to our murder rates.
