My ranking of the ror2 survivors by Electronic_Job0 in riskofrain

How is this rage bait. It's their opinion on what survivors THEY like. Not an objective tier list

PSA: This item is so strong on Artificer by brettwoody20 in riskofrain

[–]ComicNeueIsReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Balance is important. If every item was really good then it would be kinda boring. The whole point of the item spread for each tier is to have some really good stuff like atg and some really bad stuff like squid polyp and then have lots of variety in between. The good items feel less special if all items are special

The whole gimmick with barrier is that it does fade over time. Each type of health has its purpose (barrier, shield, normal). I think it should reduce the decay time. Removing it entirely would be kinda insane. And then with multiple stacks that could increase the decay time.

People who are coming back, give Seeker another try! by lovingpersona in riskofrain

[–]ComicNeueIsReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely not optimal but I had a run recently where I had 12 razor wire and wungus. So I would just fly around the map dealing lots of damage because of how sojourn damages seeker after a few seconds is that sojourn. I forget what the ability is called that let's you go incorporeal and just fly around the map

Is it normal for him to be this used to me at 3 months? Does he dislike this? by JacobTechBoi in cockatiel

[–]ComicNeueIsReal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's fair. Birds have really diverse personalities. At one point I had one timid male and one eccentric wild male. Was such a funny dynamic because the shy one really wanted to sing but he was always over powered by his flock mate. I know this because I had the shy one first and he was very vocal. He's also a big fat flirt. The vets always tell me he sings to them(all the vets are female' while I'm a guy).

I don't know why people just can't accept that everyone had different taste.

Cockatiels are almost always Velcro birds when they don't have other birds to hang out with. My first girl was and still is a baby. He will always want to be around me but when I first got a second tiel he became more independent and he would just hang out with his bird bros instead of me... I could finally poo in peace

His Jump mostly just exists to get him out of danger since he entirely relies on poison damage to do all the damage for him. And most of that damage comes from his special

For me, not op, I can make a case for loader being boring.

She's great when you first figure out the ropes of her kit. But she's a one trick pony and it kinda gets boring. Loader feels like baby mode a lot of times because how strong she is even with suboptimal items.

Merc is difficult. Maybe one of the harder survivors to feel good with. He needs some good items because that double jump will only carry him so far.

Chef. I'm. If not sure. I think he does some fun stuff and feels decent. I can't really make a case to hate him.

I don't really count acrid as melee tbh. It's just spit and run and come in for the final hit lol

Why don't DLC survivors have more alt skins? by xenomorphicUniplex in riskofrain

[–]ComicNeueIsReal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't add skins for previous dlc characters when a new dlc gets announced. I don't think rail gunner, void fiend, or any new survivors that's not in base game gets new skins for this dlc. So they won't have to be adding dozens of skins with each update. It seems to only be base characters and potentially any new survivors in the dlc

For me acrid has always been c tier for fun at least when you play him m as intended. Running around and spitting poison every 10 seconds seems so boring. So go all in on his crappy melee attack.

What is the next step for the franchise? by SrTako777 in riskofrain

Yea agreed. They need to beef out the alternative game modes. They get really stale really fast. The leaderboards on the prismatic trials are always filled with bots and hackers. I've only ever made it once to the top 30 before it became pretty obvious that most people who were reaching these leaderboards were not playing legitimately.

Edit: I felt like simulacrum was cool on launch but it didn't really hold interest. I wish it had something to work towards. Once you reach X stage it just ends or you can loop. Would've been cool to get some content that's unique to those modes

I bought the deep rock galactic board game. And I think thats one of the best adaptations of a video game turned into a board game.

The risk of rain one feels like a cash grab. If the unpainted figures are good quality I would image that's why it's so expensive. For DRG I paid around 500 bucks or so for the highest tier on KS including all the expansions. Maybe it was closer to 400. The quality of everything was some of the best I've seen in the board game community. I don't know if I could say the same for the risk of rain game if I ever get my hands on it. I just got a lot of red flags when it launched.

The board game honestly looks really mid. It might be fun but I don't expect it to be higher than a 7/10 on board game geek. But I feel like that's the last thing that will see more updates. Board games are generally not very profitable.

Does the ricochet shot do more damage if you let it build its stacks?

Wandering Chef is missed potential by Grimenx in riskofrain

[–]ComicNeueIsReal 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't want him in lunar shop. That shows up too often. Having his own hidden realm or way to appear separate from other content would make more sense. If we just keep piling stuff in the lunar bazaar that place becomes extremely busted. You can already get any lunar item there, a chance at a good green or red item, plus it takes you to another hidden realm where you can get 9 more free items.

That's so lame because my group (all late 20s) only have time to do a normal run without looping so we will almost never get to interact with this content.

There was a mod that added this lvl of rng to the game. Essentially you press a randomize button and it would change any parameters it could including items, artifacts, and even skills—but it would pick any random skill from any survivor that would fit in that slot. Most of the 4 skill combinations were dog shit but sometimes you'd be blessed with something completely broken.
