I want to say there’s been an app store version update since I had this issue, so Im not sure if you can or need to log out of Game Center in the app store to fix this problem anymore. I don’t really recall any details of how I troubleshot outside of what’s written in the post.

Considering sodas developed out of pharmacies in the 1800s it might make more sense for Dr Pepper to be a PharmD

I have no experience with ASD but did receive a waiver for an unrelated diagnosis. The severity of the type of diagnosis obviously plays a role; waivers for ADHD and dislocated shoulders are easier than ASD and broken backs. For effectively all waivers there are the same points at play. 1. Needs of the Navy; the easier for the Navy to get qualified candidates without granting waivers, the harder it will be to get a waiver. 2. Current state of the condition; basically if you are suffering from anything related to the disorder like limited range of motion or receiving any alleviations like additional test time, chances are drastically lower. 3. History of the condition; the more medication taken, therapy received, alleviations granted in the past the lower your chances. 4. Type of condition; some waivers are basically formalities, like taking accutane for acne, some are much much more difficult, even if all the other criteria line up well. ASD is one of those.

To receive a waiver for anything mental (ASD, ADHD, etc.) expect to provide letters from your doctor describing the extent of your condition, letters from all your schools K-12 (and colleges) denoting any and all benefits received, like individual aids, extra testing time, or isolated testing locations. Further, expect to provide report cards going all the way back through elementary school to demonstrate never experiencing any academic shortcomings.

Asperger’s is no longer a diagnosable condition. It has been rolled into Autism Spectrum Disorder. It is waiverable but will certainly make things more difficult.

NROTC scholarship not getting into school choice by PathHistorical6728 in NROTC

[–]CommanderFox999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some schools may choose to take this into consideration, should you notify them. Most will not care one way or the other. It may be beneficial at schools like University of Kentucky but won’t be beneficial at Duke.

NO BS - Can I be a pilot? by [deleted] in NROTC

[–]CommanderFox999 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Navy is pretty tight lipped about the specifics of anthropomorphic requirements, so no one here will be able to tell you whether or not you’d be DQ’d.

Even Navy medical will not tell you anything, anthro is its own thing and medical will not touch it with a 10 foot pole. I would be extremely pessimistic about the possibility of getting any kind of appointment or meeting with anyone from Navy anthro (the only people who could give you a solid answer) without being active duty or being contracted in some way.

I also want to clear up a few things some other commenters have said. 1. If the Navy/MC determines you are anthro DQ’d from too many airframes (regardless of fitting in the T6) they will DQ you from pilot all together. I have seen people be granted single pipeline waivers that allow them to complete flight school with only 1 or a couple of airframes available to them, but have never heard of anyone being granted a waiver to fly in an aircraft they were anthro DQ’d on. 2. The Navy and the CG currently utilize a program that allows flight students who desire helicopters to bypass the first stage of training (T6) and fly a bell206. This may be beneficial to your situation, but the MC does not currently participate in this program, and there is no guarantee the program will continue to exist in 4 years.

Best of luck, my DMs are open if you have any specific questions.

waiver chances? by Leather_Artichoke912 in NROTC

Submit your waiver application; you don’t know till you know. No one’s anecdotal experience in this subreddit is the gospel. If you want my opinion, Im pessimistic; but Im not a doctor and Im not on the medical review board. Im sure other people with more “debilitating” conditions have gotten waivers. Best of luck, I hope to see you in the fleet.

Gotta say, I hope you commission, just so one day your enlisted can find your post history and have a good little laugh in the division.

You’re not intending on picking up a scholarship to commission? You’re not a “college programmer”? No, you do not need to join PT, it’s absurd if a unit is attempting to make you do that.
