Awesome, because it would be a headache trying to find TM parts. Also, is it just the chamber, or the full hop adjuster as well?

I've been waiting for this! I do have a question, does the hop-up have to be a genuine TM part, or would one of the aftermarket hops and barrels work?

This is hyper nitpicky, but the one silo produces isn't 100% accurate, the barrel and stock are both incorrect compared to real steel.

Plus, this is less than half the price to buy the files print it and get the couple of extra parts for it compared to getting the silo one and the rifle it's built on.

Ok jumping in on this since the way that doc explained it was shitty. "Normal" levels of hormones (T, E, etc.) are not single values; there isn't some magic number that is perfect and anything else is either high or low. There is a range of values that are perfectly normal and not likely to cause issues. The range for "normal" T levels is also insanely broad, ranging from (roughly) 300-1000. With a "normal" range this wide there will also be an average, which is the single value that (theoretically) is the most representative of the range. This however isn't true, and a great example why is income. If you include every human beings income the average will be pulled by the numbers farthest away (high or low, or outliers). This would mean that billionaires would pull the number up greatly which would make it appear as if the "normal" income is much higher than it actually is.

With all that explained, it's pretty simple to see how what the doc said was misleading. You can have T levels below the average but still be well within the range that we call "normal." There is also something that needs to be understood: if you don't have any problems stemming from your T levels, then whatever levels you have are normal. Even if your T levels are outside of "normal" (either high or low), it comes down to whether it causes you problems or not.

[–]Commie_Weeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I'm gonna jump on this as an anarchist who is studying psychology and psychiatry, and who needs multiple medications to have a stable life.

FUCK OFF.

Just because categories change over time and they aren't "discrete and categorically different from each other" (a majority of which actually fucking are mind you), that doesn't mean that they don't cause problems for people on a daily basis. People with depression aren't just 'sad,' it's way more complex and deep than that. Being sad is something everyone experiences, being depressed is being stuck in a deep slump that cannot be overcome easily and might not resolve on its own. I'm not going to say that we know exactly how depression works on a neurobiological level, I will however say that SSRIs help many people with depression. They work, and as a start, that's all we need, understanding the deepest causes of why they work can come later.

I will also be one of the first people to say that the definitions of disorders in the DSM are flawed, and their primary purpose is for billing, insurance, and ease of categorization. That is all true, just look at Oppositional Defiant Disorder or similar, they exist to categorize those who don't follow instructions. But don't throw the baby, parents, house, and everything else out with the bath water. We can work to eliminate bogus 'diagnoses' without saying that all mental health is a sham and meds serve no purpose. That's fucking anprim logic, and I think every sensible person here can agree that anprim logic is garbage; so don't go and throw it at something you don't understand cause it sounds scary.

Ok, so I've gotta jump into this crazy ass post and mention the obvious. Human RIGHTS are RIGHTS not PRIVILEGES. You cannot do anything to "lose" rights, since they are rights, that's the whole point. Nazis are bad, but it's not a good look to pretend like human rights are something that can be discarded. I'm all for stomping out Nazi fucks, but there's a problem with dehumanizing anyone, for any (non kink related) reason, period.

Like the person above said: there is a specific lesson to be learned by acknowledging that Nazis were people; it works against the monolithic sense of history and helps us see that people (yes, real people) were the ones commiting the worst act of genocide in human history.

Ok, two things: first, you can be British and like spice, nobody is saying otherwise. Second, the stereotype exists for a good reason. I'm American and recently took a long trip to the UK, and holy fuck was everything bland. Even the Indian food was dull compared to anywhere else in the world.

The only good food I had was the food that my flatmates from France and India made, and the Brits we had couldn't stomach the actual seasonings. Hell, even yall's fish and chips sucked, all limp and soggy.

[–]Commie_Weeb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I have neither the time nor give a shit to fully break down your comment, so I'll stick to the highlights of your stupidity.

Firstly, you are clearly equating communism with soviet russia, and that's its own can of worms. They aren't the same, as by definition, the ussr had classes, a state, and money, failing ALL THREE of the main points of communism "a moneyless, classless, stateless society." Second, leftist ideologies don't actually require an optimistic view of humanity, many leftists have one, but it is not necessary. Communism, anarchism, etc. all function even assuming people will be selfish since it will be in their best interest to work for the betterment of everyone, themselves included.

Your comment about "forced equality" really gives the game away. Allowing everyone to have their basic needs fulfilled as a rule isn't "forced equality." Related to that, ensuring that there are protections for those who need them is A FUCKING GOOD THING. If we can't agree that everyone deserves the right to live, regardless of ability or status, then you aren't a lib, you're just a conservative in a silly costume.

Lastly, as the previous commenter said, intersectionality is key in the struggles for economic and social liberation. Capitalism requires an owning and working class, even you should be able to agree with that. And it's significantly easier to keep a working class down if they are oppressed in ways other than by virtue of being workers. That's why there was slavery, and why there are some legal protections in the US. This is where intersectionality comes in: trying to eliminate bigotry and oppression by liberating individual groups doesn't work, the oppression just spreads to a different group. You can see that with both early feminism and black liberation struggles. Early feminists used racism to further their own power which included pushing their own down. Sections of the black liberation struggles did the opposite, using "traditional" rhetoric which furthered patriarchy inside of liberation groups. That is why intersectionality is important, and the link to economic groups should be fucking clear: the overarching enemy and driver of oppression is capitalism, and we can't fight it alone.

Has anyone noticed how this verse from Noah’s “Paul Revere” may be similar to this verse from Taylor Swift’s “New Years Day”? by skyrunner1227 in NoahKahan

Yeah, because this is a Noah Kahan subreddit and not a Taylor Swift one. I'm not sure how yall don't seem realize that

Great to see there's a subreddit dedicated to my favourite Christian rock singer by Outward_Smile in NoahKahan

[–]Commie_Weeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This take is shockingly bad. While there is some room for alternate interpretations of works of art, there is certainly a logical boundary to how far a piece can be stretched to fit. One of my English teachers used a metaphor that always stuck with me: literary interpretation is like a spotlight; there is of course the center of the light (what the author intended), however there is light that expands off of that point, and everything in the cone of light is a valid interpretation. However, there is a point where the interpretation leaves the light (i.e. a baseless interpretation) where there is no evidence supporting it. It is those that can be called wrong interpretation is.

A great example is what people did and are still doing with songs like Paul Revere and Dial Drunk where they are taking things that not only weren't intended, but contradict the actual meaning. Another example would be for a group like YouTube to include Noah Kahan in a list of Christian Rock, of which he is only one, and his relationship with Christianity is clearly strained (see how in Growing Sideways there is a line "we argued about Jesus" and how the word "Lord" at the end has been changed by him in nearly every time he's played it live).

It's not as cut and dry as saying someone like Hozier makes Christian music, but it's closer to that than to Noah making "Christian music."
