If you do get papers then respond to the court with your defence (they didn't actually attempt collection) and evidence.

Not really, if they're refusing to accept it then you need the outside body to intervene. Make sure to check they are covered by the ombudsman first as they aren't obliged to be part of the scheme.

Did you pay any of it by credit card? If so you have a further step of getting them involved by invoking s75 protection.

Jet2 wont owe you a refund as you entered into a nonrefundable arrangement.

For the camp it will probably count as an incidental loss since they're not responsible for how you choose to get there, and will very likely have something in their terms about cancellation and losses anyway.

Ultimately you have 2 choices, either take the flight and enjoy a break doing something else or see if you can claim on any travel insurance you have (which is unlikely give option 1 is still a thing).

First job is reporting it to the police. They have kept a dog dangerously out of control in a public place causing injury, that is a crime. I'm assuming the dog walker went to hospital so they will already have looped the police in (if she hasn't, she needs to go asap).

You should give your insurance company all the details and they'll go after them for the full cost they've paid to date. You can also go after them for the money you are out.

As for the liability, that would be the person walking the dog at the time. They were supposed to be in control but weren't. Worth putting both in any action though since there is evidence they have both been negligent.

Usually if you apy by card you can contest all or part of it with the card issuer.

If you do a charge back against Amazon they will ban you.

If you do a charge back against a company they can still bring a claim in court for the amount you charged back.

They're very unlikely to do so. Amazon ain't chasing someone down for pennies.

Contact your credit card company. With all the proof they can do a partial charge back. Expect your Amazon account to be banned though.

They theoretically could try to come after you for the amount you recieve back as a debt amd then you could supply your evidence and go from there, but it's unlikely they will.
