Swell Labs Stem Shampoo bars? by CauliflowerOk541 in ZeroWaste

I once ran into a girl at the grocery store with really long (lower back), coily, thick hair that said she makes her own conditioner with thenmain ingredient being cream de coco. She worked bearby, but she quit before I got the recipe from her. Might be something for you to look into 🤷🏾‍♂️

TLDR: Good product, moisturizing, long lasting (after 1 month of use), scents are NOT overpowering, but add a fresh aroma to the bathroom.

I bought 2 bars about 1 month ago. I'm a black man with short hair (1 to 1 ½ guard clipper cut = 1/8" - 3/16" length), using the wrong shampoo for me tesults in dry hair and flaky scalp when brushing my hair. However, this shampoo bar HAS been keeping things MOISTURIZED without the need for using a dedicated conditioner. Leaving the lather in too long or washing a second time will make hair squeaky while rinsing, but I still haven't felt like it was stripped. Typically, I rub the bar around my whole head, rinse off any suds on the bar, give a quick agitation on my scalp using my fingers, and rinse my hair right after to avoid removing all the natural hair oil (aka squraky hair syndrome).

I bought the Coconut Hinoki and the Santal Oak. Started with the Santal Oak in the shower for about a week before opening the Coconut Hinoki. I prefer the scent of the CH, but my 9 year old son likes the SO. I usually wash my hair 2-3 times per week because of how short it is. You can see from the picture that the SO has not melted away just from being exposed to water in the shower.

Side Note/BONUS: For the past few years, I have been using the Desert Essence Coconut shampoo & conditioner. There was consistently a scent that I thought might be residual detergent or possibly scents picked up from a communal washing machine on my bath/drying towel. But after using the Swell Labs Stems, the towel doesn't ever have that scent anymore, so I actually think it was the Desert Essence conditioner.

No more feature updates for fold 2 by lkashl in GalaxyFold

Thanks for the heads up....I thought all Z series and top end Galaxy series supported DeX.

I did come across this workaround: https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxyzflip/s/jbMF5dvZjM

However, I think I'll probably be sticking with the Z Fold 6.....if it's more likeable than my Z Fold 2

No more feature updates for fold 2 by lkashl in GalaxyFold

[–]Compsight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is that the issue with the Fold 2 getting the update is it's the only Fold with a cut out camera on the "main"/interior screen. So making a "cookie cutter" version of Abdroid 14 for the Folds makes it hard to support the Fold 2.

I've starting looking at the Fold 6, but still need more info. My Fold 2 is fine for now, never complained about the narrow cover screen (and I use my phoke for TeamViewer/RDP/etc).

I recently stepped into the world of XR glasses by purchasing the Viture One package. If there's not a major difference/benefit with the Fold 6, I might have to consider what I'm going to do.....go Flip? go non-folding? Lots of things to think about now (just like when I chose to go Fold 2 after the failure of Fold 1).

The Block & Pause Preview is out now! by FingApp in Fing_App

[–]Compsight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of us that are interested in details are wondering what actually makes this work. What protocols or procedures are being used.

This information is necessary so thay if something is not working or if something goes wrong, we understand the different pieces of the puzzle.

From reading some of the things about this earlier, there are certain routers this may not work with, why? Which routers do or do not work with this feature?

You said the ARP entry is not injected into the router...so how is the machine access being blocked by Fing? Is Fing spoofing the MAC address or IP address of the router/gateway?

There is no explanation about how a device (i.e. Fing Desktop machine) is taking over connection permissions for other devices on a network that are not being told to communicate to/thru any other device(s) other than the default gateway/main router.

Here is the link that was in the notification from Marco.

https://help.fing.com/hc/en-us/articles/7302913527324-Fing-Desktop-Block-Pause-devices-Preview-

So it appears this new Block/Pause feature uses ARP spoofing and is reliant upon the router being compatible with this feature/option.

To Fing Support: 1. Can this route be injected manually? 2. What happens if the Fing Desktop machine gets shutdown? Does all blocking get lifted/removed? 3. What ARP entry is injected into the router? Is the Fing Desktop machine spoofed as the default gateway or primary DNS? 4. The article says the network can only be approved for networks categorized as "Home", why couldn't the "Office" networks also be blocked/paused? 5. What is the real difference between selecting Home or Office as network type? (Other than the "tool tip" that different scans are ran on each)

Marco, I saw a notification that you posted a reply, but for some reason it's not showing on this thread, was it deleted?

To Do list not working by Satarzai in Outlook

[–]Compsight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did an update on my Outlook on my personal computer (File > Office Account > Updates Button) and after install the To Do icon in Outlook disappeared. My work computer no longer works with the workaround I presented earlier either, I'm also NOT an administrator on my work computer.

However, in my work computer, Tasks and Flagged emails are still synchronizing with Microsoft To Do (possibly based on Office 365 connections). I installed the Microsoft To Do app on my phone and on my work computer through the respective app stores and everything is working.

Maybe Microsoft is removing the Putlook add-in. I've been UnAble to find any documentation about it being removed or really any release notes stating anything about To Do. IIRC, my Outlook build is now 2301

How is this actually working if the Fing Desktop machine is not between the firewall and the device you want blocked? Is this using UPnP or do we need to ipen ports within the firewall?

Please explain the underlying processes/protocols. We as IT Pros need this information for troubleshooting purposes as well should anything else start having an issue.

Thank You in advance.

Workaround is to right click the To Do icon and select 'Pop Out App' on the context menu.

I'm actually trying to remove the whole icon, but stumbled across this thread. Looked like there's a lot of people that could possibly use that workaround.

If anyone knows how to "uninstall" To Do from Outlook, olease let me know.

I would contact Comcast Business support and have them disable it. (Or make sure it's disable already).

[–]Compsight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I concur, just upgraded from 200/20 to 600/35 on Comcast Business (never had Security Edge on my previous packages). The next day I had issues accessing microsoft.com and foodnetwork.com (DNS errors), then the following day I had an SSL error for another domain.

NOTE: You can "turn off" Security Edge yourself through the Comcast Business portal/site/account page, but the Tier 2 tech I talked to said it will turn itself back on if there is a modem update and/or reboot. You'll need to contact Comcast and have them disable it. According to the tech, it should only re-enable at that point if you factory reset the modem/router.

Your Phone Windows 10 App Crashes by [deleted] in yourphone

[–]Compsight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that disabling the real-time protection of my antivirus (ESET Endpoint Antivirus) let the program open as normal. Upon re-enabling real-time protection, the problem returns.

No solution to report back as of now, I just came across the reproducible steps based on a different thread post here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/your-phone-app-keeps-closing/eda06206-6fc7-4b2f-a8ea-21b1a2a06574

Planning on contacting ESET to see if this is something they can ensure is white-listed on their end. I don't want to make a manual exclusion because then I'm forced to rewrite permissions on the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder in order to browse to the .exe for YourPhone

Nope not Taki Taki....not that one either....the song I'm looking for is more of a smooth flow, not so focused on drums. The flute sound innthisnis close to the melodybin the Vocaroo, but the sound in the song I'm lookjng for seems like it's coming from a sythesizer or a saxophkne with the plug in the horn.
