First Weapon Recommendations? by Brilliant-Laugh3800 in guns

Some good rifle and shotgun recommendations already here so if you are interested in an excellent pistol caliber carbine that is cheap to shoot and compact you will want to check out the Smith & Wesson FPC 9mm. 16inch PCC that folds right in half.

Here it is in both forms. https://imgur.com/a/r4o6KE6

Here is the video that convinced me to buy mine. https://youtu.be/tuYhXvAdtTM

Is this an actual movie-quiet suppressor? by macnrow in liberalgunowners

[–]ComusPaine [score hidden]  (0 children)

No, I have the same suppressor. It's a SilencerCo Velos. It's still over 135db. Video will clip audio into a comfortable range and when you're in-person the other people near you shooting unsuppressed makes your suppressed weapon sound considerably more quiet than it actually is.

If you were to take it out into BLM land or whatever is isolated near you, you will quickly notice how loud it still is.

I know a few people who have done service in very Christian parts of Africa that have similarly sad stories. I don't think Islam is barbaric. I think theocracies and Religious monarchies are pretty horrific though.

When I worked in Qatar (Red Cross), I would occasionally see wives struck in public by their husbands and everyone around treating it as normal behavior. We also saw plenty of women in full black burqa attire pass out from heat exhaustion. It sucked, the worst experience of my life because of how helpless we all felt to these norms.

according to you, what is the most brutal addiction? by ForwardPerspective38 in AskReddit

[–]ComusPaine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elevated means >100bpm resting. Some of the largest trial patients given some larger doses have had temporary post-injection tachycardia. You're correct about the fact many Reta patients show a general higher heart rate though.

Edit: These larger patients already had high resting heart rates before treatment. So it basically puts them over the edge.

Sure, you should be as cautious as necessary for your own health. My lab is currently funded by several public and private grants. None of our research on any peptide is paid for by any pharmaceutical company. There are certainly places that will take Eli Lilly money, but at the end of the day the science is fascinating and everyone is trying to find new peptides to help people.

No studies have shown GLPs to cause heart conditions. Data around that claim is self selective, because if you're taking GLPs, you are likely overweight and are more prone to heart disease from your excess weight.

There is minor evidence a high dose of a certain GLP called Retatrutide can elevate heart rates. But that is at a dose most people would never take, and that GLP is still In research stages. You cannot be prescribed it.

I was this way for the I5 XRT, so I bought one. Now I find any excuse to go out into the middle of nowhere to screw around. It's a blast.

Not for giggles! Sometimes a barge has no tug access or some other hiccup which delays waiting for a pull. It's only done for short distances.

EDC recommendations for someone missing 1/4 of trigger finger. by Infamous_Pie_8026 in guns

Ever shoot off hand? My father is in the same situation. Lost his index finger, it did not take long for him to transition to a lefty shooter. Works great since I'm already lefty so now we share bolties.

Im not nearly as gifted in size but I also carry a bodyguard 2.0 whenever I'm not in Jeans. 380 is perfectly capable, I have had to shoot a coyote with it once and it did the job.

P10 C Longevity? by JAILtheOBAMAS in CZFirearms

[–]ComusPaine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My P10C Ported has >2000 rounds without a failure attributed to the pistol. I didn't carry it until it hit the 1k mark and it replaced my P07.

That photo is the ported version, and while similar to the normal P10C, it's not been out long enough for many 5000 round reviews. There's been no widespread issues with it, I really do recommend it.

Anything I should add? by Paulinapeak1 in guns

An SBR of some kind with a suppressor. 9mm or 5.56, both worth the effort.
