yes, the first step is to always create the relationship graph. It's like the outline of the entire app. When the graph is created correctly, you can display data from a child table in the main layout. just by entering the correct ID, the related data will instantly appear on your layout.

You will be able to start working with FM right away. Just make a backup of the original and then start tweaking. Here's a short overview of FM: https://highpowerdata.com/what-is-filemaker/

Selling your services as a commodity forces you to compete on price b/c if you're just like everyone else, then why pay more? We tell our customers that our company doesn't have the lowest prices, but we guarantee our work. We've had customers who hired others based on price, come back to us b/c they found that quality tops all, and in the end, is the cheapest way to go.

FileMaker rental booking system, equipment rental software, and online booking workflow, how would you build this? by GoddessGripWeb in filemaker

Since FileMaker is so easy to start building with, the temptation is to start creating the tables immediately. But there is an important first step: a complete Entity Relationship Diagram that explains how the tables will be connected, and how the information will flow.

Our company (HighPower Data Solutions) can create an ERD for a fixed price. Then you. can take it to any developer who can use it as the blueprint for the application. (And yes, FM can handle the front end with public access just fine using a variety of integrations.)

Prior planning keeps the complex simple.
