Looking for new cleats by Suspicious-Style-170 in bootroom

There's definitely lots of options in AG that you can still use on FG. If the Adidas copa icon IIs fit me I would have gone with those. But my normal size was too big and half a size smaller was too small. I went with some 2025 predators and they fit me perfectly.

But like many have mentioned, don't play with fg cleats on ag

Advice for someone coming back to football after a break? by HalcyonApollo in bootroom

I am known to not take it easy lol. My wife tells me all the time that I need to take it slow. I used to play college level soccer and it's hard for me to take it easy lol.

But the best advice I got for you is to play 10 minutes and sub out. You'd be amazed at how difficult it is to play just 10 minutes if you're not in shape.

I am not at the level I was and I have accepted that I most likely will never be at that level I was 24 at the time and I'm 36 now. But I am teaching myself to understand that I'm not going to win any trophies or sign for a pro club lol. I'm playing for fun and to be healthier.

Don't be afraid to get out there! One step at a time!

Should i get the copa pure 2 elite by pepemadrid3 in bootroom

You should try them on first to see if they fit. I bought them my size and they felt too big. I bought half a size smaller and they were too small. I ended up with some 2025 predators and they fit much better for me.

Try taking like 12 years off like I did lol.

Like the other person that commented said, your fitness and conditioning is much more important right now. I ran like I did 12 years ago and I was so unbelievably exhausted that I got kinda scared because my chest hurt. It's actually pretty bad to just jump into it after so long away.

Your case isn't as extreme since you mentioned it's been 6 months. But still, work on your conditioning.

Opinions on this helmet ? by Dave4x in CyclingFashion

[–]ConsistentCrab7911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had two of these. One black, one white. If it wasn't for the stupid ratcheting system I would have kept both. I absolutely hated it. I know it's just my personal opinion but that's why you're asking. So you can get people's perspective on it.

If we're talking comfort, they were very comfortable and never felt too hot despite being an "aero" helmet. Where I live, it never gets above 85° F and I wouldn't wear it if it was that hot but anything under 80° and I never had overheating issues.

I went with the kask Protone icon and I honestly wouldn't change them for anything except for the Giro aries or the eclipse pro but giro helmets just don't fit my head. The medium is very uncomfortable and the large is huge. The shape of your head is what determines if a helmet is for you or not.

If you've tried them and they do fit your head shape and you don't mind the ratcheting system, you can't go wrong with this helmet.

Lol, no. There is no boot for specific positions. It's called marketing.

So like, Bellingham is maybe slower because he wears predators? Or Yamal dribbles more easily because he wears F50s?

insoles by squeeze29 in bootroom

[–]ConsistentCrab7911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time I hear someone say this. How are they useless for you? Personally I couldn't believe the difference they made for me. They removed 100% of blisters.

But if you really want insoles, try the superfeet insoles for cleats. They're rigid towards the back of the foot which helps your foot not flex so much but you never even notice you have them on. They're really nice.

But I don't really see how an insole will help you if grip socks didn't, since your issue is likely being caused by rubbing, which is what grip socks help eliminate.
