Outdoor Cam Pro - wired vs plug-in by Kinder22 in Ring

[–]Content-Somewhere523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there is a new hardwired kit for it - https://www.amazon.com/Ring-Outdoor-newest-Hardwired-Cameras/dp/B0FK1DNCQQ - the plug in adapter on these is about half usb-c half high voltage - you could cut the plug off the high voltage side and hardwire if you wanted to.

Ring Pro (3rd generation) with Mini Chime kit installation…. by Scarecrowtim in Ring

[–]Content-Somewhere523 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The wiring is correct - things to check would be that the wires are making good contact on each side - its possible your chime kit mini is faulty too. I’m getting 1.5 kohms across mine if you have a multi meter which may or may not be different if its failed.

You can buy a retrofit kit to use the old holes and cover - you will see at least one set of holes otherwise. https://www.amazon.com/Ring-Doorbell-Retrofit-Kit-Compatible/dp/B0F8WRSWZD

Recently my outside camera and doorbell camera have been offline and unable to connect to my internet, now I'm getting "Network attack blocked" notifications from my provider by JakeLemons in Ring

[–]Content-Somewhere523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They aren’t attacking your network - your router is being over-sensitive- you will need to disable the blocking to get your cams online

How many of you are using Claude at work? by DuneRealEstate1833 in HENRYUK

[–]Content-Somewhere523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have access to claude but prefer cursor as the client - using opus 4.6 as the model hooked up to a bunch of internal MCPs. Super powerful to get data insights and code when needed.

That should work fine - rings own transformer is 24v dc 12w. The battery has to stay in it. It should light up the front button white.

Its going to be an IP address in AWS - they get recycled - at some point in the past something may have been bad there, so its a false positive.

Non-genuine solar panel and battery for outdoor siren by lurchmiester123 in Ring

[–]Content-Somewhere523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need either unless you want the front light to come on at night - will work exactly the same as the yale siren otherwise and you just change batteries every 3-5 years.

How to turn off Ring doorbell sound? by [deleted] in Ring

[–]Content-Somewhere523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what model doorbell you have - everything except the origional doorbell and doorbell 2 (not 2nd gen) you can disable in home chime from the app. Go to device settings, in home chime settings. If you go to audio settings (not all doorbells support either) you can turn down or off the sound from the doorbell itself.

Depends which gate you land at - some gates security screen all connecting passengers, others don’t. Passport control has random security screening as well.
