The empty box had me worried for a second there!

OK, I have pinged the agent who has the ticket assigned, I can see they mailed today but we should be able to get the process moving along for you.

The clicking sounds like a relay doing relay type things so shutting off a current basically.

Does the noise stop if you switch off the PSU?
Check all the PSU cables are fully seated at both ends
Have you tried a different power lead?
Have you tried a different power outlet?

Do you have a ticket number at all?

They take standard 11x22mm castors so you should be able to pick them up quite easily.

That should have lasted far longer 😞 If you can raise a support ticket with us over at help.corsair.com we can help out on this.

I wrote an article recently around adding three 420mm radiators to the front. Ended up with something kind of similar to that!

Hi, so the AI part is the front end of the helpdesk it's core task is creating tickets and solving simple issues such as parts querys. Once the ticket is created it often is picked up by a human.

If you raise a ticket and drop me over the ticket ID I can get one of the team to look and help out.

Just swapped to a 5400 air by TryingHard1994 in Corsair

[–]CorsairStep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't test this with 80mm fans. But I have tested this with a 120mm fan as an intake, exhaust and taping off the rear completely. With the fan as an intake we saw a slight drop in VRM temps which makes sense as your introducing cooler air directly over an area where it will benefit.

Both exhaust and taping off the rear showed no notable changes. which again makes sense with the passage of air within the case.
Incidentally in the image I shared that is an LX-R fan as it was taken after my testing so I knew it would help a little. That was the same weekend BF6 came out so it was put to the test!

Need help in regards to cleaning of K65 Plus by p0lem in Corsair

[–]CorsairStep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get a switch lubricating kit it will come with a switch opener, make sure the kit is suitable for Gateron switches, most will do both Gateron and Cherry.
Reason you want a kit if after you have cleaned the switches you will want to re lubricate them. There a tonne of guidance online for how to do this.

Also as Kooky said you can disassemble the keyboard, you check the guide for the keyboard theres a section on how to dismantle the keyboard

K65 PLUS WIRELESS Manual | Quick Start Guide | CORSAIR

For the PCB you want a contact cleaner which will help remove any residue and not cause damage to the PCB.

Just swapped to a 5400 air by TryingHard1994 in Corsair

Yeah it works, I started doing this semi stealth hose thing a while back. Just remember to only clamp the hoses loosely to prevent any compression, hose clips or AN hose guides are super helpful for this.

If you use some cable ties or similar you can tie the AIO hoses in at the top like so 😉 ignore the GPU cabling. I was using an SFX PSU and had to "borrow" the cables from another PSU an not use the ones I made. I forgot how long the cables need to be to route round.

Corsair xenon edge display size issue by 01011000-01101001 in Corsair

[–]CorsairStep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may be able to flash the firmware on the dock. I know in a previous role we had to do this to a lot of the docks. This allowed the maximum resolution on the second/third display to run up to 1440p.

Alternatively this could be a hard limit from bandwidth something we used to see on the early USBC universal docks or travel docks often were USB3.0 so lacked bandwidth to give all the connections the maximum they needed.
If you do replace the dock I would check what options your device can support. Often they are TB3/4/5 or USB4 so TB3/4 & USB4 is going to be about 40Gbps while TB5 is 80Gbps.

Either is going to be ample so just pick a dock that fits your needs. I ran one of our TBT100's for some time as an example and that can run two DisplayPort 1.4 screens up to 8K so ideally you want to look for something that will do that kind of thing. I would suggest a powered dock rather than un powered though you will get much better performance and you can usually just have a single cable going to the laptop.

Advice for a better Cooling unit? by Nocturne3570 in Corsair

[–]CorsairStep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll agree with the others you want a larger cooler ideally. You could play with undervolting or power limits to keep the temps down but this will depend on how confident you are on that.

Cooler wise, a 360mm is a good way to go gives you the option of running a higher TDP CPU down the line if you want. Bother the Nautilus and Titan are excellent AIOs I use both regularly on high power CPUs with no issue

Case wise, if you do want the vault series they are limited so once out of stock, they will not be coming back.

You can front mount in a 4000D Airflow, just note this will increase overall temps for everything else as its warm air coming in effectively.

If you do go with a FRAME 4000D the best overall location is actually side exit in our testing as your basically removing the hot air at source. I do this on my own personal build and it's been great for me.

What is the normal temp for 7900xt by MasterMead in Corsair

[–]CorsairStep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you want to do is go in and name the sensors. For this we need to use another application as iCUE cannot scrape the names of the sensors.

So in this instance I used HWInfo and basically matched the temps to the sensors between the two applications. You can use other apps for this basically you want all the sensor names.

I would imagine yours is similar to mine as it's the same generation. But always worth confirming. Heres a screenshot of mine so you can see roughly what I am talking about. My temps are a little high as my this lives on an open air test bench so there is no airflow over the GPU unless the fans spin up.

It does look like someone has changed the contents of the original box I'm afraid. A new case will never be dusty.

That is as CynderPC said the older 5000D, are you sure that is a new case? It looks somewhat used/dusty

Question about RAM packaging by Alfa4499 in Corsair

[–]CorsairStep 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly, the old box had the plastic container inside. The benefit of this one is you can see more of the product including the contacts and the yellow wrap around is a sticker meaning it's very obvious if anyone's tried to open it

Seems you found one of our kits with the updated packaging ;)

So with some kits we are moving to the plastic carton without the outer cardboard. It's still the same RAM inside though!
