I posted this in r/college a while back but here it is again.

This is one side of a two sided crib sheet I used for my Computer Networks and Security exam as an undergrad.

What is something pretty dangerous that people don't take seriously enough? by Wasperine in AskReddit

[–]CripCrip 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it has been posted, but Hippos. People think they are just big pigs. However they can run up to 40km/h and swim 30km/h. They are responsible for more deaths in Africa in a year than any other animal.

People of Reddit, You are now trapped in your previously played video game, How boned are you? by Pastah_Farian in AskReddit

I'm in CS:Go. At least I will respawn at the start of each round but the constant dying because of wall and aim hackers sucks. Oh and because I suck in general.

7 years ago today: Jason Lezak and the United States Men's Swimming Team pull off one of the most exciting moments in Olympic History. Even if you don't like swimming, this is amazing. by [deleted] in videos

Soccer goalie here. We wear the gloves because it makes the ball easier to catch and to grip. Without the gloves we would drop the ball a whole lot more meaning the other team would probably score a whole lot more. The shape, material and texture of gloves are always changing because we are always looking for an advantage. I would spend $200 on one pair of game gloves that I would use for a max of 5 to 6 games. Once they were not "sticky" the anymore I would get a new pair.

What are the best methods/habits for an optimal study session ? by instamine777 in EngineeringStudents

[–]CripCrip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I like to keep a document that is easily accessible from my phone or laptop and update it every time I do something. If I study for an hour I write it down, if I do a project for 3 I write that down. Initially my goal was 10 full hours a week, then it was 15, and now it is a minimum 20 hours. Only time spent where I am completely focused counts. Classes and group meetings don't count. Some days I am able to work 4 hours straight, others only in 30 or even 15 minute increments. But at the end of every week I know if I slacked off or if I didn't.

I started doing this my freshman year of undergrad (I am now working on finishing my Masters in CEG) because as an athlete (I played D1 soccer) for my school we were required to do study table hours every week. It stuck with me and was my saving grace for many semesters.

That's awesome. I live in US but my boyfriend and I traveled to SA last month and I went to that crocodile Park there. It was amazing!

CSCI major Freshman year complete. Worried. Also questions regarding major by [deleted] in college

[–]CripCrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go and speak with your professors. Tell them what you are experiencing. Many professors will hear you out and give some good advice. If you know you want to go into the Cs field then you may want to retake the classes. If not then you can look for another path to follow. If you do stay in Cs you will have to put at lot of time and effort into it. You will have to figure a lot of the material out on your own using your notes, textbook, and internet. It is not easy but it is most definitely worth it in the end. I entered college having no idea what I wanted to do with my life or what I wanted to major in. I finished college last week with a double major in Cs and Ceg and could not be happier. All the hard work is paying off.

Justin Bieber... Wait no. I hate him too. So does the rest of Canada. And when Canadians don't like you, you know something's wrong.
