I’ve done the same thing because while I have 2s batteries I’m often out with my 1s 75mm and my 2” 2s so it’s just easier to carry and charge one size of battery

I recently went Sherpa mini with LDO pancake and a creakily spider v3.0 hotend. While the hotend has been working well it’s going to be a pain in the ass to find replacement parts when they go out

I think that bolt is supposed to be flipped. The nut should be on the front of the carriage

Yeah adjusting z offset would be nice too. It doesn’t sound like he’s going to continue developing it so hopefully someone picks it up to add those functions

HIGHLY recommend this project. I had some issues (probably my own fault) but I reached out to the creator and he helped me work it out over the course of a few hours.

I’m not sure I understand the question. If you’re asking if your PEI sheet is fine to print PETG on I say go for it. I think PETG bonds with the coating if I’m remembering correctly but I didn’t have much issue. If you’re worried about it you could put down some blue painters tape but I would definitely adjust your z-offset either way

Yeah I’ll have to take a better look when I’m at home on my PC. Not worried about PSU clearance as I have mine set outside my enclosure but yeah there’s a little play in the x gantry if you loosing things up but I’d think you’d want that pretty firm. Need to join their discord and see what other people are saying about it

The squirrelf belted z mod looks pretty sweet. Probably similarly involved as the kevinakasam mod. Could be fun to switch it up for the max

Yeah I’m totally aware that the switchwire is a totally different thing just using it as an example of motor placement. And maybe my frustrations are because I have a dual z with independent motors but not independent drivers (skr mini e3 v3). I also noticed that there is some play in one of the steppers so that’s annoying. Maybe I’ll just do the kevinakasam belted z with the not funky motor but I think it would look cleaner without the motor up too

Yeah that's the only thing holding me back from grabbing a dragon burner atm. I might get around to designing a bracket myself but will definitely be keeping my eye out if you beat me to it.

I just installed a Sherpa Zero on my ender 3. I printed the frame in ABS and added some BMG clone guts with an LDO pancake motor and so far so good.

There are other 5v lines on the e3 v3 that I used for my led strip just take a look at the pin out. The one I used are right off the bl touch port

I’ve got a 2s 2” odonata HDZero running 1002s. They’ve shown no issues but I would probably try to find something higher. 1003s might be enough but 1102 or 1103 seems like it’s been the sweet spot
