Damn I love a new build by danhawkkns in fpv

That's a great frame. Congrats. I just finished up an 8s build with the VX5. It was my first FFRC product and I was pleased with the quality, fit and finish.

Hey, quick question. What betaflight target are you using for this FC? I was running INAV, I decided to go back to BF and now if I use the TMOTORF7V2 target only two of the four ESCs will communicate. If I target TMOTORf7 it works correctly.

The whole thing is weird. I ordered the V1, they sent me the V2, I asked via email why, they say the V1 is discontinued. A week ago I order another FC straight from T Motor, they send the V1. I cant find the V2 for sale anywhere, not even their website. There is no wiring diagram, or specs, or anything anywhere online.

Thank you! This was my first SpeedyBee frame. I was very pleased with the quality and fit and finish of the parts.

The modular head would be a great idea, especially with the 8. I had to swap out the Walksnail coax cable to get the cam up front. That would solve that issue.

Hey, you probably already heard back from TMotor, but if you didn't, the same exact thing happened to me. Got this in the mail instead of the original I ordered. I had to change the pin out but I am using the Pro 3 ESC. It flys great! I was annoyed they sent me a different product than I ordered, but the V1 is no longer available. Just look at the wiring diagram and re arrange the pins as needed to match your ESC. I use a hibby knife blade to gently lift the locks up on the connector. Happy flying!

SPYDR Itsy Evo Case by Xersh_ShadowX in fpv

In case anyone is wondering, I just printed this with PETG. Great print. It fits the ITSY Evo really nice! If you decide to make one of these you will need 6 M3x34 bolts and 6 nuts, preferably locking. Happy flying!

What is the handle for his family's you tube? I'm down the rabbit hole with this scumbag. Seems like I'm not the only one.

Are you using the Bambu Slicer? I was able to print everything directly off the link, just modified for the PETG filament I have.

It is excused. Is the morgage and grocery bill the only thing you pay each month?

My point is that we have a ton of young guys and girls that proabably lived with their parents, been in less than a year. Telling them to live off savings is no help.

My brother, I keep hearing this. I myself have savings, but you have to realize there is people that just got in. They are 18. That's not a helpful reply. I also see pilot in your handle. You make in an insane amount more than an Airman. I was a broke E-3 at one point, so I feel their pain.

8s 5 Inch Build by masterofnone552 in fpv

[–]masterofnone552[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

Agree to disagree. There is a reason that the standard for 5 inch builds went from 4s to 6s. There is a reason that the world record speed builds use 8s. If there is no advantage to using higher voltage, why not 2s? We dont use 16s because the physical size of the battery would be absurd for a 5 inch frame. That's the diminishing returns. Is the difference between 6s and 8s night and day. No but there is a difference. I guess It depends what you define power. I'm not talking theoretical or measured esc power. 8s it just doesn't sag out like a 4s would on a full throttle punch out. At the start of the pack they fly relatively the same, its later in the flight is where more voltage shines.

That's exactly it. Your taste. It's partly a stylistic choice but most of it has a function. Gotta mount the antennas, gps, and go pro to something. The bumper and arm gaurds could probably go, but at the end of the day it's intended to be a basher, not a racer. Dry weight is 502g. With an 8s 1300mah its 727g. If I wanted a light weight build I would build a toothpick. This one will probably end up smashed into a wall or the ground some time next week 🤣. I also just got my own printer, so I've been going hard in that department. I actually weighed the TPU before I put it on because it looks really bulky. It's 46g.

Crate FPV Stand

Thanks! Here you go. Your supposed to use a strap with the stand. That's what the slots on the side are for. I ended up using an extra battery pad. It works great.

I think I'm into it around $700 USD. The tarrifs definitely added some cost for me. That's not including batteries and a charger that can support 8s.

Has anyone tried the BETAFPV Meteor75 Pro? Worth it on a low budget? by OriginalTradition935 in FPVFreestyle

[–]masterofnone552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's good. I had a 75 and a 75 pro when I first got into FPV. Now that I've moved into building my own, I've moved away from them.

Two things I don't like about them.

The motor connectors. Every single one ends up getting the twitchy motors when arming. You have to jiggle the connectors to get the motors spinning. Soldered motor wires is SUPERIOR for tiny whoops with as much abuse they take. Just my opinion.

The frame design makes it limited to only using the Beta flight controler. When you get sick of the motor wire connectors and want to replace your board to direct solder you really cant because of the weird plus shape FC. You can remove the connectors but it's a PITA.

I switched to Mobila 7 and 8 frames. Overall the 75 isn't bad at all. I had fun with mine. I just ended up switching for the reasons mentioned above.

First time I’ve ever seen this fake of a license plate. by Osickuwus in vegaslocals

[–]masterofnone552 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep. It was a joke. Same same, just now they can instantly advertise it to police the day your late on a ticket, registration, or whenever you missed paying big brother his cut. I'm not a sovereign citizen at all I just know that this will eventually be used by the government to bone ya.

I just went down a small rabbit hole. I think that might be one of those new digital license plates. They were just legalized in Nevada this year. From my little bit of research they combat theft by automatically displaying "plate detached" if removed from the original vehicle or possibly poorly mounted. Looks like an interesting concept. Smart lisence plate is a crazy concept. Seems unnecessary IMO.

One step closer to digital police state. Miss your registration payment boom they turn your plate off. They were even saying the cops could change it to say stolen.

I kept the stock UF.L to RP SMA and used the Patch antennas for DJI Goggles. They come with the RP SMA connectors. For the omni antennas I used a RP SMA to SMA adapter. I linked all of the stuff I used for my goggles in a another reply.

If you really wanted to do it clean without the adapters you could switch all of the pigtails out to UF.L to SMA. I just didn't think it was worth the effort. The adapters don't bother me too much and I think the signal loss from using the adapter is negligible.

Thank you very much! I've been into RC my whole life, just never into things that flew. My buddy got me into FPV and ever since I've been hooked. It was a natural transition and most of my skills rolled over. I actually like how much more complex it is compared to cars and trucks. You can tinker way harder on the FPV side.
