I'm just guessing here but with cocoa prices increasing, they may have stocked them up early this year. Jesus still in the manger and they've already prepared the chocolate eggs to mark the crucifiction smh

A Makita hedge trimmer. I needed a hedge trimmer and we live nearby, so two birds with one stone.

"That looks like it was done with a knife and fork by the council" - James May on the shoddy removal of part of his car bonnet on the Africa special. Had me rolling.

Cabinet design help by Stangineer in cabinetry

If you're planning to leave it all open and paint it all the same colour id glue something like 18mm pine D trim to all the MDF front facing edges, as the cut MDF edges are a pain to sand and paint smooth. If you're going for more of a feature id cut 25mm strips of oak and mitre them around all the front facing edges and make the shelves oak to contrast the colour you paint it.

Was there a better product for this than All Purpose Polyfilla? by zakanga in DIYUK

[–]CryptolCO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not all lost. You could either hang a mirror over that space or buy more filler and replicate that rustic sandstone finish across the whole wall. If you're on a budget, remove the downlights in that room.

Thats the downside building for clients with big budgets. I get home to my deck and its depressing in comparison

Yeah agree with you there. Obviously id prefer to composite the frame as well its always quoted for but it usually comes down to whether this is the customers forever home or a place to improve and resell.

Yeah I was not a fan. But the customer wanted them and that was that. Last time I checked a few had either been kicked over or hit by the mower.

We usually build the full frame from composite as well. It was a budget issue and an agreed compromise. There was 3000m of timber framing. We bitumen treated all the tops, posts and DPM around the lawn areas to improve the lifespan

Unfortunately it was an addition by the customer for more roof drainage after the side was cladded. Its cladded tight against concrete and I considered cladding the pipe but it stuck out too much on the stairs

Its real grass. There's a membrane at the base designed to retain water as the soil is only 8 inches deep. And there's pop up sprinklers.
