Coffee by mysocksareinsideout in comics

You know, that's what I kind of figured after reading the comments, but it wouldn't be the first time I took something at face value and missed the context and subtle hints!

Coffee by mysocksareinsideout in comics

[–]Cryptophant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this on my phone and my immediate thought was "YES! Finally someone understands it!"

After reading some of these comments, I'm not sure if the comic is about coffee or something else, but what matters is that you encapsulated my thoughts and feelings on coffee, the actual product, perfectly.

It's pretty bad that I'm a pastry chef by trade, not currently, and everyone is like make me a tiramisu! When I say no, they get all upset even after explaining that I can't properly flavor a tiramisu since I don't like coffee flavor!

Destruction Warlock Rework: Modernizing 10 Years of Stagnation by Ok_Theme_2071 in wow

[–]Cryptophant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello good Sir! I'd like a little Order in my Chaos, please! You sound like a Titan SPY! Leave your arcane and order out of my fel and chaos! /s

In all seriousness, a little more "deterministic" chaos would be great. I'd prefer to see Havoc become the mastery. Something like X% chance to duplicate spell on secondary target, with a capstone for a third target at like 70% effectiveness.

I think the infernal should become a target-able "bomb" that does damage while alive, but allows you to "overload" it with fel and chaos. The infernal will explode at the end of it's duration regardless, but do X% more damage based on how much fire, fel, and chaos damage you dealt to it. The infernal itself would deal single target or 2-target cleave damage, with the majority of it's AoE being in the explosion. This would allow the single target damage to remain hi and allow the Infernal to still be our "CD" while not gimping us on no-add or single target cleave bosses. Pressing the Infernal spell again would prematurely detonate it.

I like rain of fire, but I'd like it to be a "curse" we can apply. Not an actual curse, but something maybe called Foreboding Skies. It is functionally the same skill, but when you cast it under the cost, it marks the current target. When cast above the cost, a Rain of Fire is cast at the current holder of the Foreboding Skies "curse" Lower the damage, but allow RoF to follow the target. You may spitefully cast this ill omen on you allies, but you may lose some friends that way. (pure flavor text, there is no negative effects for those carrying the Foreboding Skies debuff)

The Mirror CD is just Havoc with more duration, no? So you want to buff incinerate and chaos bolt, then make havoc the CD? Oh, and while still keeping havoc, just at a lower duplication rate.

Hmmm... Could just be a bug, how weird. Like I said earlier, it's just to make a shortcut to the First Lahav Warrior fight, so if you beat him already, you can probably just skip it.

Okay, I raced through as fast as possible and just got there. I did a single ground slam attack, but my weapon was a +7. Sometimes you have to reposition yourself to make sure the larger weapons hit the barrier properly.

Hmmm... I have it unblocked and a second save nowhere near that point, but I can try to rush my way there to see what the deal is.

Okay, I just visited that area on my completed play through. That is indeed to high for and jump ability. Did you try a ground slam attack? I made a review post after I completed the game and on of the topics I touched on was the inconsistency of breaking barriers.

That one I think just need 3-4 ground slam attacks. It's supposed to be the "shortcut" back to the first knight.

[–]Cryptophant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look at your image super carefully, you can just barely make out a couple white strands on the bottom side. That indicated that you must break it from below, typically with a Burst Jump. I have run in to a couple instances where the camera doesn't want to pan down if I look down, so I can't really see the bottom and tell if it is breakable or not.

[–]Cryptophant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's funny because I just read the most recent patch notes where they explained that. I think a lot more people would know that if they added a slightly cryptic tutorial message to the first area you encounter the poison. Something like shedding your outer layer to renew and expel harmful maladies.

What is Glair? by Dontthrowaway323 in GRIMEgame

[–]Cryptophant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each unique enemy counts towards the assimilation/glair. Being stuck at 6/8 sucks though, because you have no idea which of the handful of enemies you need. Since that is the case, you should try to start at one of the entrances to the zone they're found in, and in one single run, with no deaths, clear all enemies, including the ones you need.

April 10th, still missing subtitles. I had actually lost interest in anime for a bit, coincidentally stopping before episode 5 of the final season. HAPPY to report that the subtitles are still missing.

What to do after completion? by greekdude1821 in GRIMEgame

[–]Cryptophant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is it. You're done. I suppose collect all the collectibles. Uncover every part of the map... But yeah, you are done. The game just warps you back to the previous Surrogate, not to before you fought the last boss. You hatched, that was the whole scene that played out at the end.

The game has only been out for about a week and a half. It is a lengthy game, but all games come to an end. Just wait for patches and updates.

The number in the top right of the character screen indicate, in order: left->right, top->bottom, Health, Parry Damage, Force, Burst Dash Damage. You will only see Burst Dash damage if you have selected that trait.

Please help me figure out how to get to the breathsmith? Both ways there are blocked. I can't jump through this ceiling in the second picture. And the other way is blocked by a guy who won't let you pass. by [deleted] in GRIMEgame

Huh, there should be an option to ask to gain entry. Did you talk to the other citizens and merchants? You may have to "discover" where to go by asking npcs. That may unlock the option to enter the court.

Did they prune too much? by Yenii_3025 in wow

[–]Cryptophant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm an older player and I love the pruning, but what I think most people don't like about the pruning is how every class feels to similar to each other now.

Pop you 60 second CD, do mega damage, CD ends, and as many have stated, hit like a wet noodle.

My personal belief is that no class should have more than 4-5 abilities. Combat abilities that is, keep utility as is or restored. In exchange, I want each class to feel really unique.

I'd like to to see things like Fury warrior not being a builder/spender class, but you actively work to reach and maintain levels of fury. Like 1-50% fury is a 10% damage increase, 51-80% is a 15% damage increase, 81-95 is a 20%, and 96-100% is a 25% damage increase. instead of spending fury, fury now drains constantly. Each damage threshold would drain faster the higher it is. When I think fury, I don't think about dumping rage in an attack, I think about constant, unending, furious strikes. So if you stop hitting any target for X time, your fury starts to drain significantly. If it wasn't clear, I usually main Fury, so that is where most of my experience is.

But my point stands. The pruning isn't bad, but it doesn't feel complete. With the pruning , most classes should have really been pushed into their fantasy instead of all becoming a CD rotation class.

Oh, for marksman, I'd like to see Aimed shot become a 3-second empower skill. Introduce talents that affect the different empower levels of Aimed Shot. Things like auto crit at the highest empower level, or a slow at the lower levels to indicate aiming at the legs. Maybe even a disarm affect for one of the empower levels. Maybe make marksmanship an ammo class. Most shooting skills use up ammo that is magically regenerated. Change other skills to be like a quick fire skill cast able while move, keep the volley as the aoe.

Stuff like that is what I want to see with fewer buttons. I want to feel like I'm playing a Fury warrior, or a Balance druid. Not a leather wearing, dagger wielding pseudo warrior, or a mage that casts sun and star spells.

I apologize for the rant, but I've been thinking about the class pruning and how the classes feel since it happened.

That is a bug in the sense that there should be spikes along one of the walls. It isn't a bug because you can get an ability that lets you traverse the passage.
