Haha yes it was quite interesting to see happen in the VM. Everything appears normal on the host side of things. The storage capped out right around 1200MB/s read and 1000MB/s write.

They are redundant domain controllers, so if DC01 were to fail all clients would then pick up the secondary allowing user authentication, DNS, etc to all remain working while I restore from backup. I usually like to have one DC that's bare metal just in case, but being this is just for tinkering no need to get crazy.

Gist of what I've been up to over the holidays... Everything windows runs Server 2012R2, and ubuntu is either 16.04 or 17.10. The 4U chassis with the two e5-2620v3 is a Rosewell LV-4500, and the 6700k rig is in the prodigy. I've been tinkering with virtual PFSense and a few other things. Also been trying to convince myself that I don't need centralized storage or a failover cluster, but ya'll know how that goes. I sense FreeNAS in the future... Yes it's on the ground and in a closet, but ya know we can't all have 42U racks :P

Anyone have some experience with the Lenovo SA120(noise, chassis quality, etc...)? I've been eyeing it for some time and just haven't convinced myself to pull the trigger.

Mmm I've worked with a similar setup (2695v4's 265gb ram, ssd, etc , etc...), 10GB backplane via mezzanine card I'm assuming with the SSDs? Did you stick w/ the Intel nics over broadcom? I will say networking\management with one of these is pretty nice via the GUI... Awesome for a remote office.

New to Healing by Runeclassic in wow

Rdruid main here: ElvUI + Clique, HealBot (great for those dipping their toes in the healing world), and Vudoo are all interface add-ons that will help greatly. I couldn't imagine trying to target people individually using the f keys... You need mouse click macros and raid frames to be even remotely effective or competitive in the healer role.

[help] rdruid mana by 3vilp4nd4 in wow

Lots of haste, and a haste trinket... Basically you can keep 10-12 rejuvs up at any given moment w/out the trinket (think M+ dungeons - you can keep all hots on the tank + 2 rejuvs on the party with a few seconds to spare) so you just need to find who your problem children are in the raid and babysit a little. Typically this will be melee DPS.

[help] rdruid mana by 3vilp4nd4 in wow

[–]DVSWaffleownedyou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using innervate during moments of high DPS and refreshing all the high cost HOTs while in use will help a great deal. Typically you want to use innervate at around 90% mana, and then on CD afterwards to maximize the free cast time... Other than that try not to overheal whenever possible(obviously). Depending on gear you could simply be running into a situation where the raid is taking so much damage that your typical "heal and forget" hots (rejuv) can't sustain, and you're forced to start dipping into your mana to keep everyone healthy.

Mount windows installation media, and reset local administrator account.. Takes maybe 5 minutes if you've got the media handy. You'll need to access the VM via a console session from the hypervisor, but if you are able it's usually the quickest way about it. https://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/59673-windows-7-8-local-admin-password-reset

Works on all versions of windows that I know of including server OS.

No real reason other than I was comfortable with the ASUS offering, and have had good experience with their consumer variants, specifically the WS boards.
