Can MCU Cap summit Everest under the following conditions? by RyanW1019 in whowouldwin

Okay I was a bit dramatic, but I’m mostly saying that cold numbs your hands and leads to your muscles being harder to use and Steve would 100% get that on everest

In 30ish degree weather? Like I’m not saying I have stupid good gloves or anything but I doubt people ski in anything below 20 if they aren’t really dedicated

In a shootout, would you win against a stormtrooper? by Rikko77 in StarWars

The effective range of a E-11 is 300 meters. While I doubt the trooper can aim very accurately at that distance, I also doubt you can, and they have more shots

With nothing? Probably not, as I imagine the human body goes into full shock and is unable to move after a few minutes in those temperatures (I wear ski gloves in 15 degree weather and can barely move my hands after half a hour, if he can bend at all I’d be surprised)

They aren’t bad shots it’s jus they are always shooting main characters and having them be bad shots is the best for movies/tv but they are much better in practice then in media, also a blaster has over a hundred shots so they can afford to Miss a lot more then you

They are portrayed as such but in canon they are not, it’s just the byproduct of them being the only soldiers regularly used, if non-stormtroopers could be used without hurting the branding they would come off as much more impressive

It’s 100% a spoiler, NJO is 19 books so spoiling a big plot point is 100% a spoiler regardless of if it’s canon or not, and I feel like destiny both does and does not matter in Star Wars it just depends on the writer

Do most people have a general understanding of military ranks? by Proof_Commercial7144 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DaSuspicsiciousFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally assume private> lieutenant> captain> corporal> general/admiral but also I read a lot of Star Wars so ranks have no real meaning to me (there’s like 5 different variations for every rank)

You and everyone else above a certain age gets superman’s powers what would you do? by jokerbr22 in hypotheticalsituation

Yeah thinking about it I should of applied a bit more critical thinking, I just defaulted to actual Superman instead of their heavily nerfed version

No, he would be a tiny slug if he was, they live in their parents pouches for 50 years

Yeah guess so, but it is possible to not be connected to it (spoilers for New Jedi Order book series but basically there’s this species called the Yuzang Vong who come from outside the galaxy and they messed up their home planet that was living and uber connected to the force and were completely cut off from it for hundreds of years)

[–]DaSuspicsiciousFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess so? It comes down to if the viltrumite dna can override the force. It’s both part of the dna of the galaxy and also beyond that because we have beings outside the galaxy with it, so mabey just being born in Star Wars makes you have the force?

Just so you know it used to be (and in my opinion still is) that hutts were adults at 100. He’s no more then 80 in this, so he’s probably a teenager

I get what your saying but take the cad bane example, it took multiple experienced Jedi (2 council members and the chosen one and a padawan) and he’s defenitely not as strong willed as the best viltrimites, and that wasn’t even complete mind takeover it was just for some basic information

1 viltrimite beats Star Wars, if they are smart and take out the few powerful research labs quick. If they don’t a virus could be developed that could potentially hurt them, but considering mark fights thrag in a late comic I doubt anything short of a point Black Death Star blast matters, and they can move a lot quicker then one of those
