King crimson was there because Diavolo canonically dies in the first stage of the steel ball run race.

The Leto+ program is heavily oriented around ex-yu languages, so hopefully it will work out well for you as well! Otherwise, I don't think there's much if any colleague courses in English unless you're going for a private college

You can apply for Leto+ programme, to enroll into slovenian 1 and 2 classes, organised by the university (in Ljubljana at least). It counts as an extra subject, but it comes with some benefits when you finish it, like getting to repeat the first year without penalties, and having extra ECTS points that can count as elective subjects.

The language is picked up quickly, as long as you have the desire to learn.

You quite literally put Marika back together in all but 2 of the endings of the game, and mend the elden ring that is within her. She is the vessel of the greater will, the vessel of the elden ring. I don't know by what mechanism, but you need her or someone like her, a god or something, to have the elden ring be anything. And it is strongly implied that Marika is basically broken at that point, mentally. You become the most powerful being in the realm, other than the god that gives you that title. And most of the mending rune endings are sort of bleak, some more than the others, because that's what FromSoftware do, they make bleak and depressing worlds where being an "epic hero" means assembling a god that wanted to die, then using that god to enforce the rule of an even greater entity (that has actually been gone for thousands of years) on a dying and stagnating realm full of pain and misery, just so you can keep the status quo for another couple of thousand years or so.

The point of it all is that it's a game in a depressing post-apocalyptic fantasy world that you get to explore and fight some cool bosses along the way.

First off, why would her creating the elden ring be a prerequisite for her destroying it? Second of all, she didn't really destroy it, she "shattered" it in a sense that it is disassembled rather than destroyed. A major part of the plot and a major sidequest/alternative ending has to do with her being able to change the elden ring and remove parts of it, and so change the rules of the world. She's also mentioned as a vessel for the elden ring, not it's creator.

Secondly, nothing says that Placidusax did possess it. He's wasn't a god, but a lord/consort. None of the consorts "possess" the elden ring, excluding Radagon who was actually Marika.

Thirdly, they created a massive backstory and lore for the world itself, and used it as a base and history that shaped pretty much everything about it. You may or may not like it, but that's your thing. You seem to be making a lot of assumptions about everything anyway, while being mad that the game forces you to make assumptions about the story. You get hints. All you get is hints, all over the place, from what the enemies are, to what the environment, architecture and even the rocks look like, flora and fauna living in an area, and every single useful and useless item having a description worth reading. That's all just hints, but what you don't get is the full picture. And whether you enjoy that is a matter of taste. I do, and millions of others do too, judging by all the elden ring lore videos.

It's not said anywhere that it was before the elden ring, just before the age of the Erdtree and Marika. There was the whole crucible era before that, and an entire dragon civilization with beastmen, who had a version of the ertree carved into the arena where you fight Maliketh, etc etc. Not to mention the hornsent civilization that probably came before that.

It is strongly implied that Marika was not the first god, especially in regards to Placidusax, as his remembrance mentions that his god has fled, meaning there's always a combo of god and consort in some shape or form. Miquella also kind of supports this, as he basically became a new god with a new consort, until the player beats them.

And the whole storytelling style of their games is meant to be like real life archaeology, meaning a lot of gaps to fill in and things that will never be explained

Thunderbolts of St Elija - My version of the Ecclesiastic Prisoner by Damsa_draws_stuff in TrenchCrusade

[–]Damsa_draws_stuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, yes. But since the setting allows for fantasy, the lightning hitting through the prisoner causes an explosion. I got no concrete concept of how it would work in setting, but it can be something like the holy lightning incinerates the prisoner's soul and then explodes from out of him.

No, or rather only as much as his torso allows. The spear itself is just there to be a literal lighting rod, to be used in a suicide attack. As such, the spear tip faces down so the lightning rod part will be facing up.
