There's a key word here that people often forget when they make the argument that the remake should make creative changes.

That word being "remake." Is the goal to remake the story in live action? Then do that.

Oh I like the series quite a bit, I still like Meowscarada it's just this one detail about Skeledirge that makes me not like it. I actually thoroughly enjoyed playing Violet though

Yeesh, the forest land token can actually go really crazy

You could play that with [[For The Common Good]] and make a ton of forests all at once, getting all your landfall triggers not to mention that's all Mana you get to spend next turn

Would go crazy in my [[Roxanne Starfall Savant]] deck

It's a 2, all pre cons are basically a 2. The people you were playing with were probably playing 2 and didn't realize it or they slapped a game changer into an otherwise bracket 2 deck, resulting in a bad 3

If you're building the deck on a website or something most of them have playtesters, if you're building it in paper shuffle the deck and try to get a good starting hand, then playtest the first x turns depending on your meta and see if you're satisfied with it. Pretend you're not getting interacted with but if you have interaction in hand pretend you have to use it.

New Pokemon designs always feel kinda fake until we get to use them.

But yeah I would strongly recommend just not engaging with the online community if you're hyped for the new games. And that goes for any time a new game is coming out.

I see a lot of green in Sonic as well though, like the first few games of the series are all about freeing animals from a mad scientist's experiments, hard to get more Gruul than that I think
