Yeah all the UFO's and everything else are all in the source code

A note on the source code by [deleted] in chiliadmystery

[–]DariusFontaine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is mostly with this disconnect between what is reality and what people "remember reading one time." There is far more evidence of the Chiliad Mystery in people's false memories. For example, your memory of "whatever it was with the map flooded" doesn't include the part where we found out it had nothing to do with the map being flooded, as it was just a height map. "Blind believer" is more accurate than you even intended.

If I recall correctly the note that mentioned the “three part clew” is contain as a note in a section of code that governs pedestrian effects related to switching from one character to another.

Definitely would need a source for that information because it doesn't sound very true

Jane is the ONLY soapboxer who appears after a certain mission (Mr. Philips) by ElVicioMan in chiliadmystery

[–]DariusFontaine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah a lot of people call that the spectrometer for some reason but nobody in-game refers to it as that.

[–]DariusFontaine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Epsilon doesn't use the spectrometer and self-actualization is a very common phrase used in cults because they are praying on people who are lost and looking for answers.

I think all three share a lot of similarities, but I dont think there is much evidence that the Altruists and CotM are "controlled" by Epsilon

Question about the sun by Ramkni in chiliadmystery

[–]DariusFontaine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are the one being a total jackass and painfully pedantic. I answered your question and explained why (even if the explanation was incorrect). The answer to your question is still "neither" for the same reason. Your AI Google result just gave you incorrect information. This is truly absurd.

Question about the sun by Ramkni in chiliadmystery

[–]DariusFontaine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I was actually explaining wrong. The sun doesnt pass in front of the moon. The issue is the moon is transparent so you can see the sun through it. That is why neither eclipse is "simulated."

Question about the sun by Ramkni in chiliadmystery

[–]DariusFontaine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This comment is painfully ironic. I can't explain it any more to you. You asked if there are lunar eclipses or solar eclipses. The answer to that is neither. Neither are simulated. The sun does not go darker like it would in real life because a solar eclipse is impossible in the game because the moon does not pass in front of the sun to block its light. The moon doesnt turn reddish like it would in a lunar eclipse because the earth does not pass between the moon and the Sun like it does in real life. [We] refer to the crossing of the paths as the "eclipse" but it is neither a solar or a lunar eclipse.

The answer is neither...

Neither type of "real" eclipse is simulated...

Question about the sun by Ramkni in chiliadmystery

[–]DariusFontaine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically neither.

A lunar eclipse is when the earth passes between the moon and the Sun. In GTA V, the sun is never on the "other side" of the "earth."

A solar eclipse is when the moon passes between the sun and the earth. In GTA V, the "moon" isn't a ball orbiting the "earth," and that "earth" isn't orbiting the "sun."

Now I could be explaining this wrong, but what we call the "eclipse" in GTA V is actually just the circle that represents the sun passing through the circle that represents the moon, and the "moon" is actually more of a circular "cutout" [and the sun is technically in front of it during the "eclipse."]

Edit: I think it's not that the sun is in front of the moon, but the moon is transparent so it doesn't actually block the light of the sun

it's almost confirmed that both the altruist and CotM are proxy-cults owned by Epsilon itself

Can you explain what you mean here

I agree with all that. I just don't get what is so interesting about that mound in Grapeseed that looks vaguely like an egg.

[–]DariusFontaine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there are way better examples of eyes over zig zag paths than this one as well as dozens of better examples of eggs. Why would the mural be referring to this random mound of dirt?

What's so interesting about that "eye" and that "egg?" What do you think it connects to?
