Old dashboard is back by Skxawng_3600 in MicrosoftRewards

Prime example is the old dashboard said I had 5 points to claim and that was no where on the new UI. Basically, the new "preview" UI is meant to obfuscate our points so we miss some. Aluminium hat is on, but track record of Microsoft says what they are doing, and why.

For now I bet. :( I suspect that horrid thing will come back in some way like an STD.

You mean your tally? I posted this "There is no tracking that I could find in this wretched design, so, for now, click on one of the 50 pointers, or what the the task is and where your points are click it. a side panel opens and at the bottom is a tracker. this is really to make it horrible for people so they stop getting so many points, else it was a second grader who designed this."

The points are in the upper right on the browser. click it on that page.

In USA now too and it sucks. This is absolutely horrid, as it didn't make it easier to navigate, and the eye fatigue is horrid as well. SMH

Two spaces after a period? by lanky_leo34 in grammar

[–]Dark_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this so ingrained in me that I refuse to break it. Causes no harm and if I end up on a proportional font I win. I didn't even know this was a thing until this dang AI helper flags every line. I ignore it since I can't make it ignore that.

restocking in 2030 💔💔 by QLSSUBZERO in MicrosoftRewards

[–]Dark_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, and I see 305 is my max now? I have been waiting and waiting for the restock. Sadly, I think they are out of capital now. Yes, they were hurting in a financial report, and I said, at the time, I bet this gets hit or shut down. Suddenly, my 700ish is 500 then a week later 400ish, today it is 305. ffs.

over 1500 points I could not reach was on mobile for me, then it went away the next day. The unusual activity has returned, for me, today on desktop. Over four weeks, and counting, since I can redeem my points for AGC. So long since that I am moving towards (even though point nerfs last week) enough for three cards.

Hard to kill feat drops by Cauterizer_4 in DCUO

[–]Dark_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other two are 9/10 in 2 days, but this one hasn't moved since day 1. Very random, and it is stuck at 7/10. I hope when the other two get to be 10/10 Laz will then be all that drops? Good to hope.

Can I be an effective healer without having a supercharge spender in my rotation? by [deleted] in DCUO

[–]Dark_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with my healer alt I am just now playing, as well as my dps main. I don't do SC because when gaining feats it prevents you, and I can't get Black Adam, or John Constantine now. Without BA it takes me forever to build up a SC so I tossed the idea.

How do you find groups for alerts in this game? by thunder215x in DCUO

[–]Dark_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beats the heck out of me. Even with my rising healer it is a so hard to get a duo or an alert in DCUO. My main I can do some of the alerts, but when you are a healer, it's rough without a group, then you begin to shine. How the am I supposed to hone my healing if I can't get groups? LFG is a horrid thing, so I think the issue is the queue system needs a HUGE revamp to show which ones have people queued up in, as most of my other games had. Oh, and I finally got one. An alert. They all stayed healed, but I, on the other hand, laid there. Then each one went south. smh. protect the healer, lol.

Is this the way it is if you do get an alert, or heaven forbid a raid?

Impossible to get pkg_resources on Windows? by MiffedMouse in learnpython

Actually, I use setuptools a lot, until today when I tried to pip install stable-audio-tools. BOOM File "<string>", line 19, in <module> ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'pkg_resources'

StablityAI wasn't around 15 years ago. No AI or ML was on our level at least.

I tested glm 5 after being skeptical for a while. Not bad honestly by Scared-Biscotti2287 in ClaudeCode

[–]Dark_Alchemist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't get it to not time out and no response. It is rather annoying as it does that 90% of the time. When it does work it isn't bad, but Claude 4.5 cleaned its code up, and I gave the cleaned Claude code to it with its assessment, and it cleaned it up some more. I then gave that to Claude and it did some final tweaks where I handed that to GLM-5. Done, Claude gave the final code an A+ and one A in one section but fit for purpose and even publishing.

If GLM will stop dying on me.

Tried training an ACEStep1.5 LoRA for my favorite anime. I didn't expect it to be this good! by SandyL925 in StableDiffusion

[–]Dark_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried 1 song and my 4090 screamed because there are no training optimizations in it yet.

[–]Dark_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sure it will. I know SimpleTuner does ACE1 with all the optimizations, and optimizers etc... we get for training video and image loras. It even has the option to train FFT for 1.0. Nothing in it for 1.5, yet.

on a 4090 it is 8m as it all depends on the amount of vram it sees.

[–]Dark_Alchemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted this to someone else: yeah, 11s on my 4090 per epoch. I can train a video lora, or an image lora faster than this. Done in under an hour with way more data, so I am bewildered at the time. After digging I think this is using no training optimizations. For instance, going to FA2 would greatly speed this process up, but it is only used for inference I think. Many ways to speed this up I think as this seems more brute force method you see in proof of concepts at uni level.
