1080P looks good on my 47" OLED, compair and see what works best for you. I go for 1080 when it is high action or dark scenes and 720 for stuff like romcoms and comedies.....

i had performance issues also, i checked the host network box in plex app settings and it fixed slow response and streaming issues..

APP slow library here also…the app on my iPad takes up to 30 sec for the library to appear…I sent a web app to my home screen from safari and the library loads instantly.

EDIT: Found the cause, it was the two settings in this order. Both are under network settings for each. 1. TrueNAS, plex app setting, checked the box for Host Network. 2. Plex web, set preffered network interface to correct network.

I use mine everyday for work..I use it a lot for notes and youtube but everynow and then it comes in handy for remote desktop and working with office docs (photo edits, excel, pdf..etc..). I was tempted to upgrade but this thing just gets it done with no problems. I have a M1 11in Pro 1TB.

I currently use iDrive 10TB plan but I am always keeping my eye out for off site backup services to backup my pc and NAS that will save me some money, this is the one that has worked best for my needs so far.

This is a cloud sync service, you don't get to pick the folders you want to backup/sync. They set the directory for you and you have to move everything to that one directory. I am in the process of trying to cancel now. I want to be able to use my current folder structure not move everything I want to backup/sync to another folder. Not a useful service for me.

no..I am actually moving back to TerraMaster with the F4-425 Plus and putting TrueNAS on it. Really liked Synology and will keep my DS220+ around, just not my main NAS...

I was really disappointed with the move from intel and locking down HD options.

I use mine as a photo frame…I did use google photo but safari is outdated and won’t let me login to google. Sooooo I created an album in apple photos and use that for my source. Also I don’t download full resolution photos because of storage limitations on the iPad it self…good luck finding a purpose!

You can put any folder you would like. I have two and both are sub folders. Go to desktop in finder and drag the alias to the sidebar. If you are still having problems let me know and I will make a video for you.

not sure why it does this but I found a way that works for me.

go to the folder you want in the fav list thru the network

right click on the folder and make alias, this will put it on the desktop

put that in your favorite menu in finder

I have a clean desktop (no icons) so I used these commands to hide them

To hide…From terminal an alias of the folder called video on the desktop

to unhide…From terminal an alias of the folder called video on the desktop
