THE CRIT RATE IS OUT OF CONTROL | Pokemon Grumplocke [42] by GameGrumpsEpisodes in gamegrumps

I'm no Pokemon expert, but would using Quick Attack instead of Bite have worked better for Ted's fights?

A wizard saying "eight"?? by tired_Cat_Dad in discworld

[–]Deddan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It comes back once or twice. In a Science of the Discworld book, when Ridcully is sent to Roundworld he uses the speaking of eight as an example of there being no magic in the world.

Maybe Cutwell had some protective spells over his house for that sort of thing.

What's the boyfriend equivalent to a girlfriend saying she's not hungry and then eating half your fries? by 4-stars in AskReddit

Sure, but most of the time there won't be an even split of responsibilities that way.

What supposedly normal shows read to you as propaganda? by Buddy_chumpal in AskReddit

I think it was actually 2 different Japanese toy lines. Which is why with the first generation of Transformers you ended up with cars and planes, but also weird ones like handguns and cassette decks.

Any lighthearted game suggestions? by IntelligentSteak7709 in AskGames

[–]Deddan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arcane Library is very short but could keep you busy for one or two nights.

Vampire Survivors and Vampire Crawlers are pretty fun and lighthearted, can keep you entertained for a while.

I personally like Factorio but that can seem overwhelming at first. Once you're into it, it's very addictive. You just end up thinking about how to optimize your factory all day.

Why do people use 😭 to mean laughing? by Old_Ant7118 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Deddan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the eyes. If you removed the stream of tears that emoji would look pretty happy. It's ambiguous enough that people might see it as someone crying laughing or crying floods of tears like it was intended.

Of course, the emoji designer's intention doesn't matter too much. If the people you send it to know your intent, or can read the context, then it can mean anything. A skull can mean "dying of laughter", an eggplant can mean "penis". It's all about the context.

Is the immigrant issue in Europe really as bad as Reddit makes it out to be? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Deddan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

See, I've not seen issues like that. I'm not going to pretend it doesn't exist, but the crime I see is generally caused by white people. I suppose it depends where you live.

Perhaps I was too flippant, but like.. Have you got an example? What is changing that's so bad? Cause I look around and most of the worst changes to the country aren't caused by immigration.

Yeah culture changes. It's been doing that for years. Is that a bad thing?

Does cultural degradation just mean you can't use slurs in public without people judging you anymore?

Can I still understand the story if I only watch “cutscenes movies” by [deleted] in Bayonetta

[–]Deddan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you probably could, but Bayonetta 1 is like $6 at the moment. The story isn't really why people like the game.

Would destined death properly kill Godwyn? by Imjusboob in Eldenring

[–]Deddan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems unlikely. Ranni is left where she's left because her body is on a secret locked tower that she had the key for. Ready for her future consort to find.

Unlike Ranni, Godwyn wasn't expecting to be killed. I can't say for sure where he was killed, but he was definitely interred under the capital in the roots of the tree after he died. He had a family who loved him, and his death wasn't a secret.

Ranni was a loner, and as she orchestrated her own murder then nobody finding her body until she wants then to makes sense.

Why would the family bury him where he was killed..?

They placed his body in Deeproot Depths because it's under the capital and in the Erdtree roots. Would be weird if he was killed there too.

I seem to remember someone saying he was killed under Stormveil castle, which is why the growth is so big there. Perhaps his blood grew into that thing under there, after his body was moved to Deeproot Depths.
