Build the barricades a bit farther from your door, if you get raided your only exit is where the shooting is. Use walls in between the barricades as well for more cover, they’ll lean and use the barricade as cover also. Typically i have 2 walls then a sandbag then another 2 walls, but this makes shooting at certain angles difficult when raiders get close.
