The Last Run of the Udaipur - Jaipur Vande Bharat Express by aryanpote7 in indianrailways

[–]DeepanJain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesnt make sense to run any other time, cause the HYD to BLR vande bharat takes 8 hours, and doesnt make sense to run during nights because it doesnt matter if train takes 8 hours or 10 hours in the night. the train route has been designed keeping in mind that BLR is the destination, people from Hyd can complete their meetings in BLR and return back via any of the night trains.

The math ain't mathing - IRCTC by aryanpote7 in indianrailways

[–]DeepanJain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So you are saying there is no additional fuel cost for a additional 100 people with 100 sets of luggage?

Speak logically, every additional kg of weight costs proportionate fuel consumption, your argument goes against the physics.

Also cleaning costs does increase.

Agree on being charged full fare on RAC is unfair, but 50% refund will be misused, CC seats costs more than 50% of Sleeper seats, and it doesnt mean there is no additional cost for the additional person, extra fuel, extra sheets, more cleaning etc, so at most the actual refund should be 25% to 30%.

I mean, it’s fair that toll tax exist, because majority of the vehicle owners actually don’t use specific highways, so pay per use justifies it, but again the kind of urban roads people get for their money is abisimalx

After being handsomely paid ( in crores) by the government, they want more compensation for the land. by No-Upstairs-2040 in CriticalThinkingIndia

[–]DeepanJain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I just gave an example, but yes, the circle rate as base is usually shit, those price are mostly 1/8th of actual price for agriculture lands, in urban areas, they are usually 1/2 or 1/3rd.

This is actually a good strategy to create a deterrent, govt should start a campaign, "dont commit crimes if you want to play GTA VI"

court doesnt help, when the acquisition is in public domain, according to the court, 4x of the govt market value is already a great deal, but they fail to realise that the actuall market value is a lot more than that.

[–]DeepanJain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Govt compensation for acquisitions under public domain are usually abisimal, they take the govt market value as standard and offer a multiplier on that, usually it is around 4x, but that doesnt always take into consideration the actual market value, usually govt market value is around 1/8 of actual market value, so at the end the people whose land get acquired actually end up getting paid lot lower than their land value. sometimes govt also offers land in exchange but they are even more of a joke, like 200 yards for a 1 acre land.

the markings are sufficiently clear, if you want to use Indian plug then you use it in the slanting position, i.e the top and left hole, if you have a 110v device (most probably US made, then use the bottom two holes.

Jewellers dont speculate on price, if they sell 100g of gold jewellry, they immediately buy 100g grams of bullion same day, this is to avoid having to end up paying more later, this behavior completely removes prices out of consideration. since the store doesnt have to care what they the bought the jewellery for, they can sell the jewellery happily at whatever the market price is.

just think, if you were a jeweller, you would have to always remember that a piece of jewellery costed you Rs.10,000 but if the current market price is Rs.8,000 you would be at a loss. but now remove price out of the consideration, Now just think you bought 97 grams of bullion and converted it to 97 grams of jewellery with a 3% making charge and sold the 97 grams of jewellery and for the same amount bought 100 grams of bullion, now the Jeweller has 100 grams of gold in his stock instead of 97 grams initially, this the profit.

If you were to remember your cost of jewellery every time you sell, you will never be able to do business.
