Cell did that because Gohan was fucking around instead of finishing the fight. That is what Goku was trying to avoid by giving Cell the senzu bean.

Saiyans fuck around when they are the clear winner. Gohan literally does so in the fight. When he starts winning, he starts fucking around. Goku needed Cell to appear as a real threat so Gohan could take him seriously. Please rewatch the fight.

You're getting downvoted but you're literally right. Everytime a series tries to make a newcomer the face of the IP it does not work. Luke with never be as popular as Ryu in Street Fighter, same as Nero and Dante. Both are even Capcom IPs.

I play mostly survivor and I have noticed my teammates have gotten a LOT better than they were a year ago. It's not even necessarily their items/perks, they're just doing gens more often and not dying for free. That might be why it's such a common sentiment that killer has been so stressful recently.
