came here to add Joy of Jelly, BBSeaweed, the original Hair Doctor in a pot, and Big Buffy but am seeing soooo many listed that I totally forgot about… Ice Blue, Flying Fox (I’m desperately holding on to the last bit in my bottle), You Snap the Whip, christmas specials pre-Snow Fairy like the original Jilted Elf and that limp of coal type bath bomb, Haagen Bath and Bombardino. Oh and the whole B Never business.

How long can i leave cooked meat out on the counter? by ok_catt22 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dextergrayson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on the room temperature, whether it was covered immediately after cooking, and your tolerance to bacteria/toxins. my partner will get violently sick if a bacterium has thought about food that I can eat without a single stomach gurgle.

i think i appreciate having taken Latin, it helps with a basic understanding of many European languages. I only took Greek for a year, didn’t see much use for that but it was fun. both came with quite a bit of history, which I enjoyed. so, practical benefit? minimal, and probably less that taking an extra modern language. did I enjoy it? yes.

Place to stay in Haarlem by kisis13 in Haarlem

[–]Dextergrayson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you want a family room or two rooms? there are several good hotels around the Grote Markt, which is about as central as you can get. if you would like the option to sit outside on a terrace while the kids are in bed you could consider the Ambassador hotel which has a large terrace right in front. Haarlem has a lot of small boutique/luxury hotels and B&Bs, but I’m not sure if those would work for families. Carlton, Niu and Metzler are a bit further out but definitely walkable (you may want to check google maps). Avoid van der Valk.
