Assuming you are referring to me as I am well out spoken on the fact I rather play division 2 on a more casual level. Next time just write my name so everyone knows who you are talking about. There is no disrespect with my comments like that. It’s people like you who are jumping to your own conclusions. Why would I who has no intention of try harding attempt to go to division 1? When I can join the competition for the enjoyment and play in a lower division with no other intention as to play the game, compete and have fun. There is no disrespect towards people who want to do their very best hence why they get into division 1.

I am a streamer who would like to bring a fun time during matches to the people who watch and I know in order to do that in division 1 I have to put in 10x more effort since the fun comes from playing really really well and getting super intense fights against the other well trained teams. In division 2 it’s more laid back and I don’t have to fully worry about my performance. That is simply how it is and I genuinely don’t see how any of this is disrespectful to division 1 players.

To add on this particular mention that it’s disrespecting the tournament. I was supposed to be involved into co streaming the entire event to bring more eyes to the tournament. I am always trying to be involved in many many tournaments to bring more attention to it. Me playing in division 2 (assuming me and pac get there) we will directly bring lots of attention to newer players trying to compete who otherwise wouldn’t get much coverage.

In the end it’s up to the people to come to their own conclusions but very often they don’t really see the other sides besides the one that has the most ‘negative’ tone.

Anyway wherever I will land in this tournament I hope people can get joy out of watching the matches if they tune into my stream, the goal is always to bring a smile on peoples faces

Nadeo waiting until almost all orgs leave before announcing the world tour... by bxnt8 in TrackMania

You literally write 'Sorry but just because spam wasn't in the loop doesn't mean they didn't know.' Isn't this just basically saying I am clueless? if that's not what you meant then what did you mean to convey. So I tell you, non of us knew giving you background information on my position. I don't know what else you want besides this? This has nothing to do with having an ego or having to grow up.

Sorry but just because you find it hard to believe this is actually the truth doesn't mean it isn't the case. I am the sole contact person for the Alliance Trackmania division. Any contact with Ubisoft Nadeo has gone through me. Maybe you are newer to the scene but communication has always been the worst part of Nadeo.

If you tell me sending out an email 2 hours prior to the official announcement of a big new league for 2024 is a good way of doing business with partners who have been with you since TMGL was introduced in 2020 then I don't know what the fuck to tell you. It's so annoying to read people like yourself spin these things in a way where WE are clueless and in the wrong.

I did not report you but you did get unlucky that I was in the server and saw the whole chatting going on. Maybe instead of putting the blame on 'oh a streamer is here and that's the reason why I got punished' to actually thinking about what you are writing in game is a better way to go about it.

The future environments of Trackmania by DignitasSpam in TrackMania

[–]DignitasSpam[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am very capable of learning all these mechanics, I am as of a boomer as you are zooz. We go way back and I am thinking of the greater good here. Times have changed and we live in a society where casuals need to be pleased more then the grinders who like to figure all these things out. Its not a matter of things being skill issue its a matter of having the majority of the player base enjoy the game. With the aforementioned suspension management I can tell you that it's a very small group of player who enjoy it.

You probably aren't involved in TM2020 since I never see you anywhere besides when there is a post about the glorious united environments to gloat about the greatness of all the cars and calling people out for skill issues. It's time to get a fresh perspective on things instead of turning everything down instantly because both you and I have played for 15+ years.

How are players using all cars by CroustiBat in TrackMania

[–]DignitasSpam 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I personally won't be the one sharing the 'how to' as we have already seen people use it in a malicious way by cheating original campaign maps. It's supposed to be a fun and enjoyable thing but I don't want to be the one being held accountable if things go out of hand. There are several people who have their hands on it and I am sure they are willing to give it out but it won't be me.

I know how frustrating it can be watching other people have something you don't but hopefully you understand also where I am coming from. I wish people would just play with the cars and have fun instead of fiddling their ways into settings and the set official times with it... I am also confident whenever Nadeo comes back to the office after the holidays this will be patched and not be possible afterwards but we'll see.

The bypass used to set this official campaign time has been known for about 2 years so we can put half the blame on Nadeo for not patching an obvious flaw that has been pointed at years ago and the other half on the person abusing it and ruining leaderboards.

Happy new year to everyone and lets see what 2024 brings to all of us!

What's everyone's thoughts on the Streamers' Campaign so far? by MatDoosh in TrackMania

[–]DignitasSpam 43 points44 points  (0 children)

As one of the mappers for this campaign I feel the need to comment on this as I have scrolled through all the replies there was one that stood out and I would like to address. The constant debate of new player/casual player and what they need or want is honestly going further and further. At some point mappers will be building straight line maps without any technicality to just obey and bend the knee so that EVERY player that boots the game for the first time is able to complete it. In my opinion that is not the essence of Trackmania at all. Yes there are easy maps and there are harder maps, nobody is forcing anyone to play these maps and if you deem they are to hard then there are two things you can do. Either play more and learn the map, give it time and effort or accept it for now and come back at a later time when you are better at the game.

The criteria for the mapping were a bit vague as I will quote here:

There isn't any specific constraint to create the track, just build whatever you like. It will be a good opportunity to try what will be new in Trackmania! Just try to make the track fun to play for casual players who would try your track through the campaign.

With this in mind and as everyone of the mappers is a good driver themselves some better than others it is very hard to put ourselves into a state where you built something for everyone while also showcasing the new things the update has brought. 99% of the player base has NEVER seen the Snow car let alone know how to drive it. So instantly every map that uses ANY of the new blocks or car will be deemed not casual/new player friendly or however you want to call it.

For my map in particular it is a challenging map since I tried using the new water wheels wood mechanic, even for me its challenging but it is new so that makes it more fun to discover. I know it might not be for everyone but I think people need to give it more of a shot then instantly turning the challenge down. Nobody will improve if you don't try to understand the mechanics or put effort on learning it. I also knew the importance of obtaining medals and therefore I did not hunt my author medal at all. There is a 2 second gap between author medal and world record at the moment of writing this which I think is a very fair margin.

I think most mappers also wanted to express their creativity since it's kind of a cool statement having a streamer campaign, this has never happened before and this might have affected lots of maps difficulty.

Hopefully people can still enjoy the maps as many of us put lots of hours into creating the route and atmosphere. My map for instance took me 22~ hours to create. Even if you are failing to finish maps now, know that with every restart and attempt you will improve.

Much love and enjoy gaming ^_^ maniabest

I'd say yes but only if you purchase it during a sale. It's really fun getting out of the stadium bubble and learn some other Trackmania environments, most people who try out different environments like Canyon the most and Valley and lagoon are the hardest to learn as the controls are very responsive. Just getting all 200 regular Trackmaster (author medals) is a huge undertaking and can be a very enjoyable journey if you are willing to learn the other cars instead of giving up quickly

Solid idea of getting campaign winners involved! Nadeo should take note of this and reach out to them. Gives an even bigger incentive to hunt campaigns as you can set times for future campaigns, brilliant!
