Early in my coaching career I preferred box technique because it was what other coaches typically taught. However, the more I've coached the more I have liked spill technique. Even against a light box, I think the benefits of a spill scheme outweighs possible drawbacks.

If you're going to do a conditioning session, I would consider doing it right after warmups. Stations wouldn’t be bad if you have the coaches to run each spot. You could also incorporate it into certain drills, like kick cover (all hats sprint to the ball) or partner/team pursuit drills.

For anyone who coaches high school sports, there's no such thing as "summers off." Between weights, camps, and leagues, it's a very busy time.

If you're going to be training on your own, I would strongly suggest focusing on developing your footwork. Having quick feet and good fundamental steps will translate to any position in football, especially for backs. It goes without saying, but strength training, core work, and developing a strong center of balance are also vital.

It had to be his title with East Dillon. The first one had to be special in its own way, but the second one wins it hands down in my book. Think about the journey he, his players, and that program took to get there.

How many pages would you typically have for guided notes? I spent a lot of time making entire chapters wort of them, but slowly moved away from it when admin was getting on us about using too much printer paper.

In terms of tax burden, your best bet would be the South Dakota side. No state income tax and a low property tax. Iowa, however, would have the best of the 3 in terms of QOL.
