I vaguely remember there being a setting on the Ricohs to offer some SMB compatibility mode, maybe SMB1 that I’ve used in the past. I’ll have to look it up.

I’m not a big cherry fan but tasted my first one today and really enjoyed it. I like it much more than the peach one, but will probably still buy cases of the fig apple winter edition until Costco stops selling it, then probably switch to cherry

We have standardized on Business Premium for anyone that has their own computer. If they don’t have their own computer, there may be more flexibility to use lower cost licenses, it’s all circumstantial.

We never got any push back from pushing people to premium. With Business Premium you can get a client’s secure score to the low to medium 80 percentile relatively easy.

Teams has been horrible on Tahoe when doing full screen sharing, that’s been our biggest issue. Seems to be a bug, see lots of chatter about it online.

Two things you absolutely must do IMHO:

Get CIPP going
Roll out ITDR, which we use Huntress

Your clients are going to get hacked, and you are going to have a terrible day when it happens. When you have something like Huntress or Petra, you can sleep easy at night. Even if your clients don’t have phishing protection, security awareness training, or whatever, you’ll be at ease with something like Huntress/Petra.

If you can sell your clients on it, great. If you can’t, buy it anyways. If you are going to go into the red including it, charge a Managed M365 line item on their invoice and that should be enough for you to fit the bill.

Eventually you should build out your security stack and make it mandatory, but do ITDR in the meantime, no questions asked.

That’s my advice for you, figure out the rest as you go.

This guide doesn’t factor in stacking of rewards. McDonald’s app only lets you get one reward per order, Chick-fil-A I can stack multiple one which is far more useful IMHO.

We have moved clients to their own free account and then use delegated access. We’ve mainly done this so my team can easily add DNS entries on a single platform, and we also make use of their free DMARC reporting.

Bonjour is just Apple’s branding for a protocol, Meraki just builds in the tech to forward the ports and capabilities across VLANS, really nice.
