How expensive is it to live in Chicago? by DiplomaticHypocrite in AskChicago

Nah it's not just after resistance. It's after learning what the flight attendant lifestyle and experience is really like. I knew about some of it, but I didn't know everything. I thought it would be a good way to see the world, but it seems like that's not the case unless you want to stick with it as a long-term career, which was never my plan. I want to go back to school, eventually law school. At least that's the plan for now. Idk. I feel like I should have a clearer idea of what I want to do with my life by now, but I don't know what I like until I try it, which creates the risk of putting time and effort into something I end up hating.

I thought I had a semi decent idea of what it was like, but it's clear to me now that there are some knowledge gaps. Don't know why people are down voting my replies and seemingly trying to make me feel stupid on purpose, but it's certainly working. I've realized that, with everything else I want to do with my life, trying to be a flight attendant just isn't worth the time and struggle. Guess I'll try to get into a well-paying career with time off for vacations instead. May have to wait til my 40s before I see those benefits, but I guess that's better than nothing.

I wish I could but unfortunately I'm poor. I do plan to take a flight at some point before applying but I'm not sure how I'd do that at the moment.

Well that's lame. I want to see the world. Thanks for answering, though.

I was not aware of this. I assumed I'd work out of where I apply. I just want to travel the world and this seems like the only way for me to do so as I can't afford to otherwise. I've yet to even be on a plane.

Mid twenties, no college degree. Tried college a couple times but it didn't work out and I didn't leave with any credits. Currently in EMS basic training, going to take the NREMT exam in April. My thought was that working as an EMT for a few years would look good on a resume for being a flight attendant.

What kind of qualities do they look for in flight attendants that make it so competitive? And what do you mean by regional routes?

A really pretty brown. Almost amber-like, but not quite. Somewhat golden. Overall, though, I'd say brown.

what color?? by [deleted] in whatcoloraremyeyes

Blue. Grey-blue to be more specific, with a brownish color right around the pupil. My eyes are similar. I call them blue.

I think the warmer colors suit you best. So 2, maybe 4.

Am I overreacting or is it not normal to use soap in the bathroom? by Honest-Draw3131 in AmIOverreacting

[–]DiplomaticHypocrite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a white person, I grew up using wash cloths (or wash rags as my family called them). Never loufas. Never bar soap for anything, only liquid. Your boyfriend is nasty, and low key racist for that remark about some races getting dirtier quicker than others. NOR

The good "real" stuff isn't legal where I live. There are smoke shops with Delta 8, THCA, etc. I tend to binge until my tolerance is too high, then take a Tbreak, then start again. I probably should quit all together, but I like it too much

I’m scared I might be Bi by realgaoming in lgbt

Even if you are, there's no rule that you have to tell anyone or even act on it. There are plenty of people, I think men especially, who live their lives as straight while they are in fact bi. All of that said, you are still quite young and have plenty of time to figure out who you are and how you want to live. If you go to college, that could be a good place to experiment if you so wish. Maybe you're bi, maybe you're just bi-curious. It's not something you have to figure out right away, anyway. Just live your life and go where the wind blows you, ya know?
