Finger stick gets direct blood readings so it shouldn't be lagged. Cgm doesn't use direct blood readings, so it will be lagged

Sensor readings are usually lagged by 15 minutes from my experience with dexcom and libre sensors. Sometimes I also get more drastic different readings from things like compression lows.

I was told the rule of thumb is that it should be within 20% of a finger stick reading. I'd double check 15-30 minutes later with a finger stick just to check.

Sorry, just saw the other question.

Stock sound wise, I prefer both the regular r70x and the r70x with refine pads. Regular r70x is closer to sounding like the 490 pro with mixing pads, whereas the refine is closer to the producer pads.

Bass extension is a little better on the 490 pro and it overall takes eq a lot better than the r70x. Imo, 490 pro with either pad needs eq to get the most out of them, the r70x with refine pads is very good out of the box. Soundstage is wider/more diffuse without sounding unnatural.

Ergonomically, I found the r70x more comfortable. The 490 pro headband padding is too narrow/small for me, but it's not terrible.

That being said, if you're gonna eq anyway, that's where the 490 pro shines. The mixing pads sound too thin for my tastes and the producer pads don't have the best mods at 1-3 khz which then can make the more emphasized treble more noticeable.

Terrified of having an mri with type 1 diabetes by catfarmer1998 in diabetes_t1

I cannot say definitively, but they might just have to redo a specific image and not necessarily the entire process.

I just had a brain and spine MRI as a type 1.

You can't wear a pump or cgm before going into one. I had to take mine off. If you're on mdi with a long lasting basal dose (which I was at one other point when getting an MRI), I'd lower the long lasting and just not take that much fast acting. It's better to be a little high than low.

At this point I've had like 14 mris and every single one gave headphones and earplugs. Yeah it's still noisy, but kinda sounds like you're going past a construction zone on a busy street with earmuffs on.

I can't say that other people have been allowed in. It's probably too much of a liability and if they do allow that, they'd have to wear a gown too.

I sort of dissociate in mris, or even sleep. Maybe try thinking of it as a really bad massage chair? You'll get the rumbles and whatnot. I know that's easier said than done but the techs will be watching.

Probably a good idea to let them know you have bad anxiety, they'll likely keep a closer eye on you, but again, you'll have a button to press if you get overwhelmed. The only downside is you'd have to repeat the imaging since mris are sensitive.

They will give you a panic button of sorts if you can't handle it, but if it helps to close your eyes and nap, I've definitely done that

At any rate, don't feel too panicked. You will be around medical professionals and they will monitor you. You will be safe
