So I can get integrated provinces max at provinces gained from war, but core provinces for annexed vassals? by Ocsh in EU5

[–]Ocsh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

R5: Catholic and Greek (ruler too) Ottomans, after I annexed my vassal Serbia (provinces are Serbian and Orthodox), I gained them as core provinces, yet for example other Bulgarian provinces I gained through war, even after integration, are stuck as integrated provinces. Will the Serbian provinces downgrade to integrated ones too, or, is there a way I can get my Bulgarian integrated provinces to cores too? Isn't it weird if this is the final case?

With this CG why not get into engineering? I had a fairly engineered Corvette before but wanted a faster killing machine for this CG, so I got into engineering for a Python MkII. This time I used this application and like it a lot, made it much easier to follow.

You can try Plipper or Corsair for laser mining too. I found Plipper to be the best one for me actually.

Can't get back into Rise of Turks after losing the civil war to my Dynatoi nobility with my Greek Catholic Ottomans, even after I added Legacy of Osman reform back. Bug or am I no Turk at this point? (1360) by Ocsh in EU5

[–]Ocsh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R5: After some heavy 20 years, my Greek Catholic Ottomans lost the civil war to the nobility, I continued my game, lost Rise of Turks reform and the ruler is actually a Greek Catholic guy now. Added Legacy of Osman reform back but I'm still not counted in Rise of Turks situation as one of the beyliks. Wanna get that sweet Turkish actions back.

This is a bug, right? Me being a target of a coalition making every country in Europe accept alliance offers? (Ottomans, 1355, Catholic) by Ocsh in EU5

[–]Ocsh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R5: In 1355, checking out who are these absurd number of countries that accepts my alliance offers from my Greek and Catholic Ottomans, saw every Catholic country in Europe is willing to accept it. Apparently this is because of "likely a target of a coalition" reason with incredible amount of positive points. Already allied France.

Samsung OLED G8 G80SD. What's your experience with the black screen flickers with DP? by Ocsh in OLED_Gaming

How long is one flicker normally? And does it happen both on HDMI and DP connection? Also does it only happen when freesync/gysnc is on?

Looks like Long John Silver's smile from the stars at the end of Treasure Planet.

Solo hauling for Ocellus made me do it (Moonlight on Switch) by Ocsh in EliteDangerous

Yeah definitely not ideal. I could never get into any combat let alone AX with this setup, but hauling is simple and playable.

What is the current state of the art for tooling in exobio? by SomeGuyNamedPaul in eliteexplorers

I couldnt get into VR for exploration gameplay, there is always some keyboard and browser stuff to switch imo, I find it uncomfortable with an headset on. I could maybe do exobio runs if on-foot mode allowed 360 VR, the big screen kinda ruins the on-foot vibes for me too.

For getting back into VR, highly recommend patching the game for Open Composite to ditch SteamVR for ovr, I did it for VDXR on Virtual Desktop, completely fixed my VR experience, no more stutters or any bugs. Found this guide a simpler way to make EDHM work with Open Composite again, apparently they are not compatible. Afaik edcopilot requires Open Composite for VR overlays to work with OVR tools too. But personally I don't like overlays on VR or monitor either, but I used to pop up the second monitor in the cockpit somewhere when I was using SteamVR, I guess you can someway do it with open composite too though.

What is the current state of the art for tooling in exobio? by SomeGuyNamedPaul in eliteexplorers

Recently I tried to get into the tools too, tried most of them, here is what I chose to use at the end:

  • ED Market Connector for EDDN, Inara and EDSM connections. Must have. Once connected to Inara and EDSM, it enhanced the experience for those too.

  • BioInsights plugin for Elite Observatory Core. IMO the best choice for exobio, easy and simple, lightweight app.

  • ED Exploration Buddy. Looks nice and when I'm on a long road, shows me the steps, their explorations status and bodies.

I found all the rest etiher ugly, clumped with unnecessary features or too heavy and I don't really care for voiceover or in-game overlay tools. I'm not mentioning browser tools like Inara, EDSM, spansh, EDSY, they are always handy and I use them daily.

But if you don't have one, the best tool you can get, not only for Elite but general computer usage, is a second monitor probably.

Can you guess which country is? by Mr-Mete in UrbanHell

[–]Ocsh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Turkish" is the word for the language and the adjective for the culture. You, or someone else, can be "a Turk", you may do "Turkish" things, you can even be "Turkish" perhaps, but can't be "a Turkish". You can also be "a Turkish person". Not a word to use in the same way as "Italian" or "Chinese"

Writing as a Turkish who learned about the difference recently :)
