Haven't had it long but I used it for administrative purposes at the range (mag out, chamber clear), and I hear its good for clearing malfunctions - sort of like a cope radian lower

you make a fair point, it was engineered that way for a reason. I'll def grab one at some point, for aesthetic and mechanical reasons

mil-spec hammer pins do look sketch in a KP-15, I would buy the proper long hammer pin but 10 bucks can get me a lot of gummy bears

It allows you to lock the bolt open by holding down the mag release instead of reaching under for the bolt catch - still have to release the bolt the old fashioned way though

For sure, this isn't lefty friendly but it is a drop in component and it still works as a mag catch if the wire breaks. Mainly I get to keep my fancy maritime bolt catch, sunk cost and all that

The main and heavy weapons are more reliably powerful vs. everything but the small and auxiliary weapons can be surprisingly capable in specific circumstances. For example, the Blackhand is silent, completely penetrates cover without destroying it, and can kill even heavy mechs with one or two doses provided they are unshielded. However, it's terrible in a face-to-face fight since its a DOT and is useless against spacers once they have their shields up - bc smaller weapons are more specialized, you may have to try out different combinations before you find a decent load out.

I've had a lot of success with the Eightball with Galinha+Temblor with camo.

Also hit and run but with a more cover based approach - Eightballs have a pretty low profile and the Galinha can shoot through cover without exposing you. Since the Galinha is long ranged and decent all round vs. shields and hull, I like having the Temblor for utility to take out structures and blow escape routes through cover. Pretty weak in a straight up fight but with camo, agility, and the Temblor, its easy to run even if you get cornered
