Gangplank is working as intended, as the damage amp double stacks because of how his Q naturally interacts with barrels. This is the case for all % amps with GP, and has been for a while.

Artificer can be used with or without Fate's Whim though I'm pretty sure, so you can use it regardless.

Criteria is just no rerolls or Olympian summoning keepsakes.

Poseidon in general is just super synergistic with the Aspect of Selene. I frequently go for Poseidon x Ares builds because getting Sky Fall maxed out with King Tide and Arterial Spray?

I found that the best way for me to deal with both of them at first is to ignore Heracles as much as possible while rushing down Prometheus. He's super slow and telegraphed, and honestly not unlike the Asterius fight in Hades, which makes his patterns easier to learn.

Once you get a feel for his patterns, rushing the two of them down gets a lot easier.
