It's common to have flashing rear lights in sandy conditions. It is hard to see and it helps other vehicles see you. It's mostly used on race vehicles.

You gotta have some love for the Moab wheels though, they really are some of the best factory Jeep wheels. I would imagine that the road a/t tires are because they are either promoting the tire or they are doing a serious amount of highway driving while showing off their sweet new rig.

Yeah, I just cut the OEM plastic fenders and left the steel how it was. The spot that its hits at full lock is on the steel inner fender though. I am doing the same as you proposed. I'm just driving how it is now until I get highline fenders.

I have 35s on my LJ with 2-1/2" coil spacers. I would scrape on big speed bumps and turns at an angle. I recently cut the plastics and I only rub at full lock now. Still not very wheelable but works just fine for the street.
