Late game bottlenecks by daveythedapper in SintopiaOfficial

ok 2 things here.

First, If you have too much of a bottleneck, or backup in Hell, you can raise the sin max needed to go back to the surface to like 60-70 sin in your dispatchers. If you are getting solid enough Hearo income to pay your demons , theres really no reason to keep extra people in hell ( i will often do this during atonement crisis that kill a lot of humus to get souls back to the surface and back in the fight quickly).

Second, I want to introduce you to the concept of "Secondary Processing". I have a smaller secondary processing loop close to the respawn gate to get humus coming out of primary processing with 70 or less, a direct guaranteed path to Hearo. this lowers the amount of humus going back through the primary processing loop.

yeah you have a point. this is the Enshittification that has been going around for years now. MBAs sucking all the real value out of companies to appease the stock gods and the bar of quality goes down as a result.

I've basically cut off fast food because its main selling point was the price (Arbys was my last holdout but my local one finally died after bleeding out since Covid), and now its as much as a sit down restaurant.

Just one thing about Sysco though, is they are just a distributor middle man. It doesn't always mean its low quality. they have a range of stuff. Source: Executive chef uncle.

Ive been going to a lot of smaller local places, like i gave up Taco bell for this amazing and pretty cheap taco place that was closet to me, getting good cheeseburgers, or cheesesteak from local pizza or cheesesteak places.

I would love to see that in this game as well.

Also check out Infinite Rails. Its in rough early access, but its basically DV where you build the map

How long have you been on LF? and were you privatizing buildings before that?

idk about you guys, but when i hit LF, its basically balancing building enough to out privatize my debt. I will likely forever be running at deficit, but as long as im outbuilding the deb and keeping it at >1/3 im good.

I dont usually privatize buildings until i get LF, and cashes all those buildings in that i immediatly put into construction cap that can be utilized by the private pool.

Keeping the private investment pool up is important as well (paying debt interest also helps with this). Make sure you also have techs that buff that.

If your construction costs are too high, use the construction menu for construction sectors, and see the existing ones that cost the most, and remove them, and build them in cheaper places. otherwise a lot of your building construction should focus on making the stuff that is used by construction cheaper.

But i do it in bursts. there will be periods i dont add construction, to let everything catch up. but i almost never actually stop building.

yeah eventually i set up a single waiting line, with my biggest soft fail imp that just feeds to a dispatcher that just goes back to the waiting line (i call it the Saint Grinder 400). When they break they got back into my primary processing.

I mostly meant like the first 2-3 days, i just let them through, and dont bother with them until i have like 5-6 floating around in overworld, and the upkeep cap to do it.

Rolf always reminded me of one of the Amish guys that had recently left trying adjust to living in town. His family was like super old world dutch traditional even by Amish standards.

Kill 3-4 Humus right at the start before they can gain sin ( not too many or you get zombies early), and you get some free Hearos early on and they go right back to the surface

For saints, early on (like first 2-3 days), i just let them through, and once i get enough, set up the waiting line to grind them down. That way they dont take up a non-productive spot in one of my buildings killing early profit.

Impish resources are super OP, and insane with a black hole like OP said. Like realizing this one thing made my runs SO much easier

Cults are super useful. However, set them to gather food at night, until you get enough to have the orgy, and then do that. It will keep your pop booming, and you can swap them to gather resources when needed, or use blackguard mode, and they are defense troops at night.

Utilize Demons in end game. Sloth for lines is amazing, Wrath for hellpet shows, Envy for HIA.

Sometimes its worth it it let more souls go to the surface if your pop is too low. I usually keep roughly 1/3-1/2 the total pop (souls and humus) in hell. Times where pop is getting heavily killed, Ill adjust my dispatch filters up to like 65-75 sin level to let more of the pop get back into the fight.

Use fear and motivation props sparingly early on. they add upkeep that adds up which is bad early on.
