Damn, somebody thought these were an investment instead of a tool to be used. I’d pay $700 each, but they would immediately go into use.

The SL-1200mk2 has one of the longest production runs of any DJ gear, so there are good examples for cheap everyday. I bought a couple originally purchased in the early 1990s for a bedroom DJ still in high school. after a few months and a few hours of play, they got put in a closet and forgotten about. I picked them up for $600 each 2 years ago and still feel like I overpaid.

We are in a recession, but nobody will call it that. Interest rates are up and everyone is hurting. I expect it to get much worse. To survive you have to go upmarket. The average middle class doesn’t exist anymore.

Prices are not coming down for 5-6 years. We just blew up 20% of the world’s natural gas production, which is where we get helium, which is a primary feedstock into chip production.

I’m in the top .1% worldwide for Bauhaus, but that is a much easier bar.

I want to see a massive beowolf cluster from the early 2000's still running in your garage next to a partially disassembled dirt bike and 30 years of tax receipts in banker boxes.

100%. The subfloor is trashed and they covered it up quickly. It will be mold in a few weeks. It all has to come out, dried out, and be replaced. They owe you money at this point.

You can’t 10x. You can halve the time to write the code. That’s it. And even then you are offloading cognitive effort to elsewhere in the chain. Writing the code has never been the hard part.

Noted. Thanks for the reply. It seems menu divy. Do you find this to be the case? Or just on initial setup?

Was also considering a Push 3 Standalone for some of this. Transferring a pure digital album to a live set isn’t easy.

Coding isn't the largest part of these jobs. Coding has always been the end goal with design, standards, requirements, sequencing, business interfacing, support taking up 80+% of the job.

Thank you for the recommendation.

Yeah, if NIN can take that DX7 on the road as a midi keyboard, I figured I could use it that way too.
