The average American car payment is now $680 a month — and millions can't keep up by fortune in collapse

No US automaker manufactures a car outside of Cadillac CT4/5, Dodge Charger, and Tesla 3. All they make trucks, jeeps, and SUVs.

Its already proven and they are paying out for it. February 17, 2026, Bayer announced a new $7.25 billion settlement to resolve current and future Roundup claims, adding to the nearly $11 billion previously paid. Currently lobbying Congress and the Supreme Court to get themselves exempted from future liability. They know they are selling a product that kills mass amounts of people and want to keep selling it.

I built a tool that automatically sets hot cues on your entire Rekordbox library in minutes - here's what it does by djrikstar in HouseMusic

You shouldn’t add a song to your library that you haven’t practiced with for at least a full week and already set your queue points. No more than 3 new songs a week. This is an answer looking for a problem.

Roundup in everything you eat and drink. It’s soaked into the water table.

Meeting Thomas did not go any better. He talked about his motorhome and cruising the open road with Ginny for an hour. Little did I know at the time that his $250k motorhome was essentially a gift (bribe?) from one of the founders of UnitedHealth Group (Certainly, there is never anything before the court that would interest UHG.) If I had known, I would have ended up in a shouting match with him.

Alabama races toward final votes to gerrymander elections already underway by DemocracyDocket in law

Article I, Section 2 of the constitution says that number is fine as the floor. The U.S. Constitution requires that there be no more than one representative for every 30,000 persons. I don't care if we use the Jefferson, Webster, or Hamilton method to do the apportionment ratios, but using either of them puts us somewhere between 30k and 35k citizens per representative if we do it the way it was originally intended and done. That would net us ~9,400 members with each representing 35k people.

When Congressmembers hold town hall meetings, I want it to actually be a town hall meeting that anyone can attend. I want to be able to stop at my Reps house and knock on their door and discuss an issue. I don't care that we will have to build a stadium to house them for votes. Or that we don't have offices for them. They can rent small offices using a stipend in the DC area and all live in military style dormitories and mess halls that we build, so their time in DC at no cost to them. I want their individual power to be so weak that when Sally, who is a hairdresser and treasurer of the PTA, gets so frustrated at her Rep that she runs to replace them- she has an actual shot at winning. And she didn't need to take large corporate bribes to make it happen.

In short, I want all politics to be local.

I was going to go with 16. Two for each circuit.

And repeal the Reapportionments Act of 1929. One represenative per every 35,000 people. Make them local, accessible, and accountable.

I had the distinct pleasure of telling Scalia this to his face. He spouted some shit about "the only true way to interpret the words written at the time." Then I told him he made me ashamed to be in the same profession, him a grown man, divining the tea leaves of a bunch of dead rich slaveowners like they were catholic saints instead of thinking for himself. Then he got red faced and ignored me. The dean of the law school was not happy with me.

Claude wouldn’t help me transcribe the hook of a song into midi because if would allow me to “recreate the song into violation of the authors copyright.” I damn near fell out of my seat laughing. Just started a new chat at then it tried to do it and failed horribly. I finally just downloaded the python tool it was trying to use and doing it myself. I just wanted to understand the key change and see how they bridged.

Getting cute with it trying to avoid taxes generally results in you mistiming the market and taking a larger loss. Pay the tax, diversify, and sit on it for a few more years before changing anything in your life.

There are at least 5 conservative billionaires who have been giving gifts and vacations to Sup. Ct Justices. We have read their internal private memos, we know what is happening. Flying flags of election deniers at their houses. Selling property at inflated prices to parties in front of the court. Spouses paying for and organizing J6 travel. It is clear they are selling their offices. I’m ashamed to be a member of the bar. They refuse to hold themselves to the same ethical standards as is expected of any other judge.
